Revenge Or Return Of The Green Slime?

Posted by Paul | November 10, 2009 at 10:39 PM ET

Do you remember that green slimy fuzz (that could easily wipe away) that appeared on many of the white figures in the 2002-2004 Star Wars line? We don't want to cause premature alarm, but with all the new figures we found this afternoon (the Revenge Of The Sith wave), we discovered some (not all) of the Stormtrooper, Commander Bacara and Han Solo (Stormtrooper Gear) figures had some very familiar looking greenish deposit on them (that we could also easily wipe away). Is Hasbro returning to the same plastics of years ago? We tried our best to photograph this for you to see it, but our cameras just didn't seem to pick it up in the snapshots. Long story short, check out your [white] figures before you buy them.
