The Sideshow Collectibles 12" 1/6 scale Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Knight) from Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones has arrived to much collector excitement. Although many may have unfortunately overlooked this figure (as assumed by the very low edition size), it is definitely worth its weight in praise. While there isn't much new presented here, Ewan McGregor's likeness has been perfectly captured and the costuming has reached new levels in authenticity. Sideshow was very clever
to utilize the mold of the General
Obi-Wan Kenobi portrait here for this figure. And
while you may think this is a simple head swap, it isn't. Every details
of the Episode II costume has been replicated flawlessly here. The crepe
fabric and felted cloak are on par and the paint details on the head, well,
you couldn't ask for better. The boots are perfectly sculpted and this piece
just doesn't dissapoint in any way.
Sideshow has taken
some heat for the lack of accessories and price hike for the same old Art S.
Buck body type used, but there are really no complaints here. With a limited
edition of 1000 pieces for the exclusive and 1500 for the regular, there definitelt
aren't many pieces to go around and this piece may be the first to go for a
premium price on eBay.
Both editions are currently
sold out at Sideshow
Collectibles as of this posting. It may be very
wise to get on the Wait List now, so that you may possibly secure one of these
awesome pieces. Click thumbnails below for a set of detailed photographs.
