TFA Set To Cross $2 Billion At Worldwide Box Office

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will reportedly pass the $900 million mark at the domestic box office and the $2 billion mark at the worldwide box office this weekend. The Force Awakens will become just the third film to pass $2 billion in sales. Two James Cameron directed films, Avatar and Titanic, are the only other films to reach that milestone. Although The Force Awakens is running roughly $140 million ahead of Avatar at the domestic box office, it will be virtually impossible to pass Avatar's $2.7 billion global haul (and likely take a re-release to come close).
