Hi again,

"Buried Egg" here with another hot tip on a major BFriday sale and a way to completely avoid standing in line or even worrying that the item will still be there when you get there after Thanksgiving!

Well, the managers at my local Toys-R-Us have started calling me the "Extreme Couponer" of TRU. Don't know if everybody remembers the last good scores I posted but I do know some people asked me to do a bargain hunting guide sometime or something. Well here goes:

The ToysRUs Black Friday ads are unreleased but are already posted on various sites now. TRU is selling the "Multi-Troop Transport Droid Carrier" and the "Republic Gunship Play Set" for $89.99 each on Black Friday. Link Here: http://bfads.net/Black-Friday/...

So, what you do is go to your local TRU -now- and put the ones you want on layaway. Then show up anytime after 5pm on Thanksgiving (TRU starts Black Friday on Thursday now from 5pm to midnite) or on Friday and walk in the door and step over all the bodies and carnage and pick up your playset hassle-free at the Customer Service Desk. No waiting in lines. No missing dinner with the family. No staying out until midnight door-busters. They will honor the Black Friday price even though you set up the layaway over a week earlier! Ask them to be sure but mine in Virginia does. Other stores will allow this too. You just have to make sure they also have a "Free" layaway policy or it could cost you.

You can even apply a coupon if you have one. I used a 20% Off coupon on the Jetfire Optimus Prime I put on layaway for Black Friday. They said they had to scan it now, at the time of layaway rather than a the time of
pickup. You get more off that way too because its 20% of the larger current price! We'll see how that part works out when I pick it up though. ;-)

I've never paid more than $5 for a new 3.75 figure at TRU and never paid more than $10-$15 for the 6" figs. Just knowing what coupons and rewards and TRU Credit Card bonus offers can add up with each other along what days are sale days that allow combos too.

Enjoy and thanks again for running such a great and helpful site!
