A stealth ops clone trooper is one of the crew on a new Republic stealth ship. The trooper's special gear includes a combat flight harness that holds a blaster pistol and a backpack that fires missiles. As part of the elite crew, the trooper is ready for the stealth ops missions that demand all of his skill, courage, and ingenuity.

When given the opportunity, Hasbro will milk certain sculpts if they can create all new characters for us in the basic figure line. And that’s exactly what happened with the basic (and exclusive) Stealth Operations Clone Trooper action figure. We don’t know what actually came first here: the chicken or the egg. Both the Toys R Us exclusive 2011 TCW [SOTDS] Stealth Operations Clone Trooper and the basic figure from The Clone Wars line were released less than 30 days apart from each other. Both utilize the same sculpt and both are colored similarly. While the TRU exclusive has been identified as Blackout, the basic figure version is more generic as multiples could be found in The Clone Wars episode entitled Cat And Mouse. Hasbro did change it up a bit more however for the CW57 figure because it comes with a plethora of accessories that the TRU version did not. Overall, you might find more value with the basic figure release and we think it is growing on us a bit more than Blackout did.

Easily out, Stealth Operations Clone Trooper is a rework of 2011’s TCW [SOTDS] Stealth Operation Clone Trooper Toys R Us exclusive. Utilizing a slightly retooled body of 2010’s TCW [S2] Clone Commander Stone (CW44) figure, he also comes with a repainted head of the Toys R Us exclusive. (Actually, he comes with the reworked head of the Special Ops Clone Trooper from the 2011 TCW [SOTDS[ Special Ops Clone Trooper And Geonosian Drone TARGET exclusive two-pack. For the most part, the yellow insignia that travels up the center of the helmet is removed and a few new fine details are changed. But essentially both Stealth Operations Clone Trooper action figures are essentially the same. Thank goodness for cool accessories, huh? Stealth Operations Clone Trooper comes with a harness that allows a double projectile firing jetpack to be attached. Hasbro has reached deep into their parts lists catalogue and has dusted off the same one that came with 2009’s TCW [F/S1] Kit Fisto (No. 27) figure. The jetpack has been repainted for this release.

The harness comes apart in two pieces. There is an upper portion to it and serves as a removable gas mask of some sort. The piece also contains the chest box. Also, the harness stores a unique blaster pistol and this is a feature we just absolutely love with our action figures: hidden arsenal. Stealth Operations Clone Trooper also comes with two DC-17 blaster pistols and a DC-15 blaster rifle as well. Trust us when we tell you that you have plenty of accessories here. You likely will not get bored with this action figure. As far as its flaws are concerned, Stealth Operations Clone Trooper has an awkward stature. Like a few of the recent The Clone Wars figures, he comes with an awkward lean that we haven’t had success straightening out. We think it’s been difficult to remedy this because the slant occurs on or about the waistline and this obviously will obstruct straight posture even in the best scenarios. Even still, the figure in wonderfully colored, excellently accented with subtle color and has more accessories than you’ll know what to do with; buy it!
