Obi-Wan leads the elite 212th clone trooper attack battalion. The Jedi General has fought in many battles and spear-headed many critical operations during the Clone Wars, including breaching Nute Gunray's fortress to gather vital information about the mysterious Darth Sidious, and the grueling hunt for General Grievous, whose capture or demise would seriously undermine the Separatist's droid army.

Hasbro definitely got full use out of the 2008 TCW Clone Trooper (No. 5) figure. And even that is an understatement. It’s actually easy to lose count when determining all of the figures that are repaints/reworks of this base sculpt. It’s a great, albeit inaccurate, clone trooper sculpt that is popular with nearly all collectors. And since it’s so universal in nature, it does make complete sense why Hasbro has used it over and over again to bring us brand new toys! First and foremost, the Obi-Wan Kenobi & 212th Attack Battalion Clone Troopers TARGET exclusive Battle Packs set is really a dream come true for army building collectors. This is exactly the type of multipack that fans have wanted for years. Unfortunately this practice seems relegated to these two TARGET exclusive Battle Packs because now they have been reduced to four figures and we really never saw this practice applied to the realistic line. Usually things never return to their once, more improved states. It's usually a downhill trend instead.

But inside this box you’ll get four clone troopers from the 212th Attack Battalion complete with orange color flashes and phase I armor. Some of the figures are oddly positioned in the packaging but for the most part aren’t permanently altered once removed. If they do seem twisted once removed from the packaging, time will likely bring them back to their original shape. The figures overall are painted rather cleanly. Their armor is bright white (honestly a setback for this particular set) and the orange running down the arms and on the helmet looks perfectly in place in all the right spots. Because they’re super-articulated, you’ll have lots of fun posing four of the same figures in unique positions to give them each their own personalities. The 212th Attack Battalion clone troopers were in The Clone Wars film but they weren’t too easy to locate. If you look hard enough however, you should be able to find them without issue. They’re one of our personal favorite style of clones. There is something about that orange that stands out from the others.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a repack of 2008’s TCW Obi-Wan Kenobi (No. 2) figure. He comes with the same accessories that the basic figure did and while you may seem some slight differences in deco, it’s really the same figure. Consider Obi-Wan Kenobi the obligatory figure of the pack. After all, the 212th Attack Battalion needs a general to lead them into war. Who is more fitting than Obi-Wan Kenobi? Not the biggest fans of this version of Obi-Wan Kenobi however, the figure is good enough for the purposes of this Battle Packs set. Battle Packs like these are all about the army-building obviously. And since we’ll never get anything like this again from Hasbro, now is the time to appreciate the set for just what it is. The Obi-Wan Kenobi & 212th Attack Battalion Clone Troopers TARGET exclusive set is so cool. It may be simple, but we can’t stop repeating how we are totally digging getting four of the same clone troopers at the same time. Except for the 2004 OTC Entertainment Earth Clone Trooper 4-packs, these TARGET exclusive Battle Packs sets are really unprecedented. And they are worth every penny you pay for them!
