It’s the gayest Star Wars ever! And you’re going to like it, or you’re a bigot! The Acolyte ranks as the worst-performing Disney Star Wars series of all time. Universally panned and perhaps loathed to new levels, it’s a shame that Hasbro wastes time and energy creating characters from this series because they’re some of the best action figures they’ve produced in quite some time. Jedi Master Sol may not be that big of a deal to longtime collectors of The Vintage Collection. Although appearing in demonic content, you can use the character as a background for your Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones displays. The bright yellow and brown outfit with soft-goods cloak makes it feel right at home during the Battle of Geonosis. Coincidentally, the way Hasbro packaged the figure with its character photo and nameplate color, you’re immediately reminded of the TVC Mace Windu figure. But this is how pop culture is anymore. It copycats instead of creating unique and universally beloved content. It alienates.
The purple color of the nameplate and the figure backer interestingly clash with the blue lightsaber. We’re surprised Hasbro chose this color, but we believe the Mace Windu figure might have inspired them. The action figure design of Jedi Master Sol is nothing short of impressive. Hasbro perfected the human buck in a super-articulated 3.75-inch scale, and Jedi Master Sol is a testament to that. The figure comes with 27 points of articulation, which all aid you in posing the figure as you need. The removable soft-goods robe is shaped nicely on the figure’s body. You can see how far Hasbro has come in making soft goods with realistic draping and texturing. You can’t pull the hood over the figure’s head, but Hasbro sewed it down to look natural. The Acolyte show takes place in the Star Wars timeline long before the events in Attack Of The Clones, so you’ll find differences in this figure’s costume from the Jedi from the Prequel Trilogy era.
The head sculpt of Jedi Master Sol is excellent and captures the actor’s likeness brilliantly. The hairstyle is also perfect and helps shape the character of this Jedi, as we see in the show. The body is perfectly sized to accommodate the portrait, and you’ll see great detail throughout the costume. We hope that action figures based on The Acolyte are a one-time deal. Disney Star Wars has already pulled the plug on the series, and no more of the dreadful show will be made. It’s a show that breaks lore, is controversial, and unsuitable for young Star Wars fans. It’s such a shame what the Star Wars IP became. But knowing that Hasbro and Disney are propaganda-filled and agenda-driven companies, they’ll double down and lose money before changing their evil ways. Hopefully, we can wrap a big red bow on everything “The Acolyte” and never have to hear about or see anything more from this disaster. In the meantime, all of us should be able to find the art in the action figures Hasbro produced. Just pretend they’re from a different Star Wars source.
