Axe Woves - TBS [P4] - Six Inch Figures (TM25)

A skilled warrior, Axe Woves is loyal to Bo-Katan and is a member of a band of Clan Kryze Mandalorians striking back at the Imperial remnant.

Axe Woves, the cool-looking but slightly mediocre character from The Mandalorian, finally gets added to The Black Series 6-inch line. One of the few characters to show up in The Vintage Collection line first, the 6-inch version is what you’d expect to receive from Hasbro. And that’s a brilliantly designed and excellently sculpted action figure. The only issue we see with Axe Woves is that Mandalorians have become so commonplace in Hasbro Sar Wars that collectors might take them for granted or, worse yet, become bored with them. That said, the tooling and paint operations on Axe Woves are excellent. The figure comes with a modest number of accessories, including a removable jetpack, articulated helmet, and blaster pistol. The accessories interact well with the figure, although we feel the helmet is too loose on the figure’s portrait. Axe Woves interacts with Koska Reeves and Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian and has quickly developed a devoted group of fans. The Vintage Collection version of the figure was better than average, but we must admit that the 6-inch figure won the competition this time. While the 3.75-inch version was exclusive to Target, the 6-inch version is a general marketplace item and will have greater availability. Overall, we’re pleased with how well Axe Woves turned out for collectors. But it doesn’t seem like these characters from The Mandalorian are arriving quickly enough in this format.
