Rey is a resilient survivor, a scavenger toughened by a lifetime of dealing with the cutthroats of the harsh desert world of Jakku.

After Hasbro spit in the face of 3.75” collectors by producing a line of Star Wars 40th Anniversary Titanium Series 3.75” figures instead of desperately-awaited updated to most of the original Kenner 12-Backs, collectors knew they were capable of anything. So after the characters from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope didn’t sell, a lightbulb turned on in their planning development to produce a second wave of the Titanium Series 3.75” line, but this time based on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. What better way to augment the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars with die-cast metal action figures that no one wants, and then pour salt into the wound by creating a second wave of figures based on a film for which longtime collectors have no interest. But that’s what happened. The Rey (Starkiller Base) Titanium Series 3.75” figure is as bad as you probably already imagine. The sculpting is exaggerated, and the paint operations are insufficient. And Hasbro made the line cookie cutter to the point where there are no surprises here. Rey (Starkiller Base) comes with two lightsabers, one with a swinging effect, and five footpegs for placement on the included base. Frankly, we’re over this format of 3.75” figures, and we wish Hasbro would place focus on the plastic 3.75” line instead to give collectors what they want to see. People buying Star Wars action figures aren’t into Rey at this point in the game. It’s time to focus on things that will perform well at retail. If they keep producing this junk, the line will head down a very dark road. Rey (Starkiller Base) retails for $14.99, and we don’t think this line of figures is worth anything close to that price.
