A ruthless bounty hunter from the planet Duro, no quarry was too dagerous for Cad Bane... if the price was right.

Cad Bane's techno-service droid has mnay built-in gadgets that made him incredibly useful, but he also had an attitude to match.

The Black Series [Phase IV] Cad Bane & Todo 360 6” figure set will stick in the craw of collectors for a long time. Not only are collectors frustrated to have missed out on this Hasbro Pulse exclusive after only staying in stock minutes, but it also offers collectors the ONLY opportunity to secure the Todo 360 figure. If we distilled this exclusive with only a couple of words, we’d liberally assign “near perfection” to it. The duo of Cad Bane & Todo 360 is a match made in heaven, and to see them in the 6” line after all of these years is something comforting, as it is frustrating. In 2011, Hasbro produced an all-new version of Cad Bane for The Clone Wars [Shadow Of The Dark Side] line. Released as Cad Bane (CW42), the figure came with a 3.75” version of Todo 360, and quickly became the most popular action figure “two-pack” of the year. So why is Hasbro charging 6” collectors for a 6” version of Todo 360? Whether you like this set or not, it’s overpriced, and Todo 360 should be a complementary addition to it. It shouldn’t warrant the extra cost. That said, the Cad Bane & Todo 360 Hasbro Pulse exclusive two-pack is brilliant. But it feels redundant when everything presented here could have been part of the general marketplace release version of Cad Bane instead. From stunning tooling to incredible paint operations, the Cad Bane & Todo 360 two-pack will remain one of the most sought-after 6” products this year. We guarantee it. Now let’s take a closer look at what’s included here.

Hasbro approached the Cad Bane 6” figure with respect and fortitude. While we cannot criticize them for including so many accessories here, we will not let the absence of Todo 360 (for the general release version) go. Hasbro worked in a removable “cowboy” hat, which fits Cad Bane’s head firmly. It won’t fall off while you pose the figure, and you can angle it in different ways to capture the various expressions and attitudes it adds to the character’s aura. We’re especially impressed to see that the figure’s leather duster is removable. The detail etched into it is nothing short of impressive, and the tails that hang down the back of the character are long, but not too long where they might inhibit the movement of the figure. With some poses, the tails of the duster may anchor the figure with some aggressive action-oriented poses. Hanging around the front of Cad Bane’s chest and lying on the figure’s posterior is the satchel. It’s another removable accessory. There’s not much to write about it. It doesn’t come with pouch openings, but Hasbro designed it to lay flatly against Cad Bane’s back. Collectors will appreciate the forethought immensely here. Thankfully, Hasbro included two LL-30 blaster pistols and sculpted two hands to accommodate them perfectly. Unfortunately, there are no holsters to store them when not in use. Interestingly, although not removable, Hasbro added articulation to Cad Bane’s ankle rockets. They rotate a full 360 degrees, and it would have been nice if they included flame effects as bonus accessories.

The Todo 360 figure, and as a reminder, is the exclusive here, is remarkable. But it isn’t perfect. Immediately, we noticed that the emblem on the left side of the character’s head (the one in yellow) is something Hasbro omitted. We’re not sure why they missed this detail, but it’s a shame. The 3.75” version of Todo 360 from 2011 had this detail. We’re not sure went wrong here. Hasbro worked in a nice amount of ball-socket articulation in Todo 360. The figure’s articulation includes a ball-socket head, ball-socket shoulders, a swivel body section, ball-socket hips, and ball-socket ankles. The 3.75” version only came with a ball-socket head. Looking not much more than a walking toaster, Todo 360 is slapstick, farse, and entertainment in The Clone Wars timeline. It seems like Hasbro nailed the likeness and the scale for both characters beautifully. They interact beautifully together, and they’re the perfect duo to add to a blossoming collection of 6” figures based on The Clone Wars television show. As time moves on, Hasbro will have a problem on their hands. Like the TBS [TESB40] Han Solo (Carbonite) figure that initially came with the exclusive 6” Boba Fett many moons ago, Hasbro finally relented and released it as a single figure by itself years later. We imagine there will be such an outcry for Todo 360 that they might feel the pressure to produce more of these sets or get that figure out again by itself one way or another. This set retails for $29.99.
