The fate of the Star Wars universe is in your hands!

Deep within the forests of Endor, the Rebels advance to destroy the shield generator base which powers the new Death Star's protective shield. With minimal time before the Death Star comes within range of the Rebel assault fleet, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia lead a Rebel commando unit against the base, hoping to deactivate the shield and leave the Death Star vulnerable.
En route to the base, the Rebel strike team encounters a scout trooper patrol unit. Luke and Leia hijack Imperial speeder bikes in a dangerous , tree dodging, high-speed chase to silence the scout trooper reconnaissance party before they alert the base.
Sleekly styled for exceptional maneuverability and powered by a turbine repulsorlift engine, the speeder bike is an excellent vehicle for patrol and reconnaissance missions, especially on such Imperial outposts as the forest moon of Endor.
One of the best Hasbro Star Wars Action Collection exclusive releases was also responsible for creating the most confusion (but only initially). If you lived this, you know how impossible it was to locate the 2000 POTF2 [FB/CT] Speeder Bike (With Scout Trooper) at TARGET. With a strict “street date” for August 6, 2000, very few collectors managed to secure the retailer exclusive using the DPCI trick. Store employees wouldn’t run in the back stockroom for you for this item. Instead, stores decided to follow the rules and deliver a more stringent way of handling the distribution of this highly-sought-after item. Once they officially hit TARGET store shelves, they immediately disappeared, and many Action Collection collectors walked out of stores angered and depressed because the arrival of the next batch wasn’t known. Then, out of the blue, and out of nowhere, UPC 076930262955 showed up once again in TARGET computers! More Speeder Bike (With Scout Troopers) were on the way. But this wasn’t the case. Instead, a new product, under the Power Of The Jedi line look no less, called Speeder Bike (With Luke Skywalker) begun showing up on product lists and had the same UPC and SKU number as the previous exclusive. Collectors immediately began developing interest in this all-new Action Collection exclusive. And it made sense that Hasbro would offer it up instead of re-releasing the last version. Hopefully, collectors would get all three riders and vehicles during the “Endor Forest Chase” scene from Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi. We’ll get to Luke Skywalker in a bit, but we think it’s the best offering of Luke Skywalker from Hasbro of all time. It’s excellent.
As you know, Hasbro added a fantastic amount of features into the Speeder Bike vehicle. For the Speeder Bike (With Luke Skywalker) release, the Speeder Bike received some paint operation updates. You’ll notice more carbon-scoring and dirt collections throughout the vehicle. Let’s go over some of the features once again. It comes with pivoting handlebars. Hasbro also installed a removable Endor poncho for extra protection, even though Luke comes with his own. Behind where the Endor poncho is secured, you’ll find two articulated exhaust flaps that flip up in the same fashion we see them move in Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi. When you place Luke Skywalker on the Speeder Bike, collectors can take advantage of the positionable foot pedals that move in a generous range of motion for your display needs. Luke Skywalker’s feet can rest on them if needed. Also included with the Speeder Bike, are two three-position poseable “action” stands cast in clear plastic, so they remain “invisible” while displaying this item in a collection. And lastly, Hasbro added a swiveling, front-mounted, blaster cannon that we see in use during the Battle of Endor. The detail of the Speeder Bike is unprecedented. Although it’s not too heavy, it has some decent weight to it. Hasbro didn’t hold back any of the detail here at all. The Speeder Bike comes with a “used” look to it, which accents its authenticity.
If the Speeder Bike wasn’t enough to revel over, then you’re going to love the included Luke Skywalker pack-in figure. A first-time offering in the Action Collection line, Luke Skywalker is better known as Luke Skywalker (In Battle Poncho) or Luke Skywalker (In Endor Gear) in 3.75” action figure circles. Hasbro utilized an enhanced body type to give Luke Skywalker the needed articulation to provide enough movement to sit and interact with the Speeder Bike with believability and authenticity. But on top of a well-articulated buck, Hasbro tooled what we’re considering the best likeness of Luke Skywalker from Episode VI the line has ever seen. Luke Skywalker’s hair color is a little too blonde, but it looks excellent, nonetheless. Luke Skywalker’s expression is stunning, as well. There is a look of concern or wariness about what’s transpiring. Yet, the countenance still offers a glimmer of hope at the same time. Hasbro gorgeously weaved Luke’s poncho. It’s bulky while being fitted and made from a thin cotton-like material that has a drape that works. It comes with a matching helmet. Underneath is a version of Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) that comes with plenty of accessories too. The right hand is properly wearing the black glove. The neatest accessory here is the inclusion of a glow-in-the-dark lightsaber. It looks silly in the light (white), but lights up green in the dark, and breaks down into hilt and blade. Another fantastic release for the Action Collection, we believe we like this set better than the previous version.
