The late nineties were great times for fans of The Empire Strikes Back, but that might be relative. Kenner/Hasbro produced some fantastic Collector Series and Action Collection figures based on Episode V for the 12 Inch Figures line, but many of the key releases arrived as store exclusives. Three of the exclusives featured the three main heroes of the Star Wars saga. One, a Service Merchandise exclusive, Princess Leia (In Hoth Outfit), is a fantastic interpretation of Princess Leia Organa, wearing her Echo Base costume. With rooted hair and a simple yet powerful likeness to Carrie Fisher, the figure is one of Kenner/Hasbro’s finest achievements. Our only issue with the figure is that the costume has a little too much sheen for our tastes, but if you can get past this detail, you should be able to enjoy everything that Kenner/Hasbro accomplished with it. With a lean and athletic frame and careful attention to the details in the costume, Princess Leia (In Hoth Gear) Action Collection figure is a collectible that fans of the 12 Inch Figures line will enjoy for years to come. Princess Leia (In Hoth Gear) comes with an E-11 blaster with a red firing projectile (something new for the 1998 figures). This is one of the nicest-looking figures in the entire Collector Series/Action Collection range. Kenner/Hasbro should be proud of this effort.
