A vengeful warrior of the Empire tasked with tracking down Jedi survivors, the Second Sister Inquisitor is driven by her all-encompassing hatred of the Order.

In Star Wars: Rebels, the Seventh Sister Inquisitor character went over very well with fans of the show. Because of her popularity, Hasbro produced a 3.75” action figure of her for the Star Wars toy line. Now a new Second Sister Inquisitor is a subject of focus for the Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order video game and also a brand new The Black Series [Phase III] 6” figure. Making her debut in the Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 19: Fortress Vader, Part I canon comic book, Second Sister Inquisitor shared many attributes and characteristics of the Seventh Sister Inquisitor, but with a fresh new take. She’s described as a member of the deadly Inquisitorius. And we also know she’s not a nice person because she wants all Force-sensitive survivors dead. An all-new figure, Second Sister Inquisitor still shares a similar frame to previous female characters in The Black Series [Phase II] 6” line, most notably Jaina Solo (Legends). Hasbro doesn’t deviate too much from their established protocol in the 6” line. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. The process of making these figures feels cookie cutter in many instances. And we’re feeling it strongly when it comes to the Second Sister Inquisitor character. To be completely clear, the Second Sister Inquisitor shares no parts with any previous figure, but you can’t help being reminded of some of the excellent 6” figures they’ve produced previously or in the past. Since all of her attention for her inclusion in The Black Series [Phase III] 6” line is focused around the Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order video game, we don’t know if she will resonate with all collectors, But hopefully, enough people love Star Wars: Rebels, and may want to add another Inquisitor to their collections.

Second Sister Inquisitor received a significant amount of attention in The Black Series [Phase III] 6” line. She’s part of the first wave of Triple Force Friday figures, and they each received special “First Edition” packaging in an extremely limited release. You’ll find the Second Sister Inquisitor in a white box with the “First Edition” label. And then you’ll notice the standard black-and-red packaging that most other 6” figures receive, too. Some collectors ADORE the exclusive and limited “First Edition” packaging, while many others loathe it. If you have obsessive-compulsive disorder, you’ll likely go crazy trying to secure all the variations out there. And if you’re a “packaged” collector, you’ll probably be disappointed if you can’t secure all of the different box types for your collection, too. While anything is possible, it feels like Hasbro did indeed make the “white” boxes a very small run. Unless there are many locked in a warehouse somewhere, the ship to acquire them has sailed. And it’s unknown how many exist out there. But Second Sister Inquisitor received the white box treatment, and because of her dark outfit, she looks better in the white box than the black and red box. Second Sister Inquisitor also received the “carbonized” treatment too. A GameStop exclusive, you can find a version of her with a metallic finish. Coincidentally, the GameStop exclusive “carbonized” version is significantly easier to locate than the variant “white” box version. The three versions of the Second Sister Inquisitor all share the same sequence number on the side of the box, in case you didn’t know. She comes with a nice amount of accessories and although they don’t interact as well as we’d hoped with the figure, it’s nice to see Hasbro making efforts to include more accessories with the 6” figures.

So what about the action figure? Second Sister Inquisitor turned out nicely from a visual point of view, but functionally we found her disappointing in some ways. Recently, we’ve noticed that Hasbro’s ball-jointed/”rocker” ankles arrive “frozen” and it takes some time to unlock them from that state. Our sample of the Second Sister Inquisitor came with both ankle joints locked in place, to the point we thought we would snap off her feet because the ankle joints were unmovable and frozen in place. With a little patience and a lot of wiggling, we managed to get the joints to articulate. But one ankle joint doesn’t function properly and doesn’t have the full range of motion it needs to pose her properly. Aside from this issue, the rest of the Second Sister Inquisitor turned out splendidly. She’s wearing a very masculine-styled outfit, but her feminine frame fits into it flawlessly and turns the masculine style of the costume into something feminine. She comes with a removable cape. The cape plugs into her shoulder blades and we find this aesthetically displeasing. Thankfully, Hasbro included two shoulder armor plates that plug into her shoulders if the cape is removed. But if you have man-hands, good luck trying to install them and getting them to stay in place. Ours fell out consistently. We found this troublesome and aggravating. She also comes with a ring hilt and two lightsaber blades. We know that she’s an expert lightsaber duelist, so it’s great that her signature weapon was included here. Unfortunately, the blades don’t snap in tightly and sag a bit when displayed. It’s not a huge disappointment, but they should have a tighter fit. The only thing we’d like to know at this point is what she looks like underneath the helmet. Perhaps time will reveal that.

This sample has been provided to us by Entertainment Earth.
