Leia Organa is not only a princess, she is also one of the most important individuals the Rebel Alliance has. Stubborn, brave and beautiful, a young Leia was adopted by Bail Organa at the request of his friend Obi-Wan Kenobi. Bail accepted Leia as if she were his own daughter, and brought her into his royal house on planet Alderaan. THere she grew up to be a respected senator, and eventually came to aid the Rebel cause in the fight against the Empire.

Rebe were eventually able to steal blueprints of the Empire's most devastating weapon, the Death Star battle station, and Leia was entrusted with their safekeeping. Bail Organa sent her on a mission to seek out and deliver the plans to his old friend Obi-Wan, but before she could do so her shop was captured and boarded by stormtroopers.

Before being captured herself, Leia encoded the plan, along with a secret holographic message, within the droid R2-D2, and sent him to find Kenobi, just seconds before she became imprisoned by stormtroopers and the evil Darth Vader. From here her life changed forever as she embarked on adventures with her fellow Rebels, including a frustratingly arrogant man named Han Solo, whom she would eventually come to love.

Authentically styled straight from Star Wars, Princess Leia is dressed in her royal white hooded tunic with a belt, and carries her signature blaster. This special edition 12" figure, available for the first time ever, is destined to become a classic collectible.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Fans and collectors of the Collector Series 12 Inch Figure line wondered when Kenner/Hasbro would introduce Princess Leia into the line. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long, and she was quickly added to the third case assortment. Packed alongside Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker (In X-wing Gear), and the Stormtrooper, she quickly became the highlight of the wave because the other three figures had issues among them. We can’t say that Princess Leia is perfect because she isn’t. But Kenner/Hasbro did a fantastic job ensuring he was given an appropriate body frame, a decent likeness (it looks equal parts Carrie Fisher and an animated take on Carrie Fisher), and rooted hair to help out the figure’s aesthetics while paying homage to the original vintage Kenner Princess Leia Organa Large Size Action Figure. This time, instead of hair that you can “play” with, Kenner Hasbro used some lacquer that keeps her hair in an unmovable position. We are happy they went this route because it keeps things neatly in place over the years and prevents Princess Leia from looking disheveled over time. They designed her outfit beautifully too. Using a sateen fabric that is as shimmery as it is pure, it hugs her frame by giving the collector room to pose her in a variety of ways. Her tunic comes with a hood, and although its functionality isn’t perfect, you can situate it on her head in a way that is close to screen-accuracy. Princess Leia comes with excellent balance, and some of the more action-oriented poses are easy to attain with her. Lastly, she comes with her signature defender sporting blaster pistol. It’s not a perfect replication of the on-screen prop, but it works in this instance. Overall, Princess Leia is the best of the third wave of Collector Series figures. We had higher hopes for the other characters in this wave, but they didn’t deliver as we had hoped. But that shouldn’t take any attention away from Princess Leia, who is worthy of your consideration in your collection.
