Much like Chief Chirpa, Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) was another wonderful addition to the RETURN OF THE JEDI line. Both characters didn’t have as much screen time as Wicket W. Warrick, but they helped shape the unique Ewok community in Bright Tree Village and helped show Star Wars fans the diversity that existed in their species. From differing colors of fur, to height differences to thickness differences, the Ewok tribe we witnessed in action in RETURN OF THE JEDI helped shape one of the most important storylines in the entire Star Wars saga. Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) was one of the more accessorized Ewoks in the Kenner toy line. He came with a headdress, a staff, and a medicine bag. Like most of the Ewoks in the Kenner line, Logray was too large, but scale wasn’t a priority in this range of action figures. Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) has a terrific likeness to the onscreen character, and he also has a beautiful paint job too. An important variation exists with this figure’s paint job. There is a dark version and a light version. The light version is featured in the Photo Gallery. Growing up, Ewoks seemed to be a hit amongst my peers, but I did always manage to see them hanging from the pegs in almost every store I visited as a kid. Despite whatever good or bad sales performance they had, Kenner never got tired of making them and ultimately produced eight before the line was cancelled. That’s a significant population of one type of Star Wars character.
