Princess Leia Organa was one of the Rebel Alliance's greatest leaders, fearless on the battlefield and dedicated to ending the tyranny of the Empire.

The best comparison we can make to the Titanium Series Princess Leia Organa 3.75” figure is she is Jerry Seinfeld’s “Two Face” girlfriend. In some brighter lights and side angles Princess Leia Organa looks fantastic, but in other lower lights and straight ahead shots she leaves something to be desired. Let’s face it, it’s hard to make good-looking die-cast metal figures. But Hasbro is “cheating” here quite a bit by adding plenty of plastic elements to make their lives easier, and in our estimation to make the figures look better. When it comes to Princess Leia Organa, it’s perhaps more accurate to describe her as a mixed media figure because she is really the same ratio of plastic and metal. Her head sculpt, her weapons and her lower dress are all plastic, and her arms, legs and upper body are all die-cast metal. The figure doesn’t necessarily look terrible. Hasbro nailed the scale and her silhouette looks about as perfect as we’ll ever see in this scale, but why the metal? Why not go all out and make a completely all-new plastic figure instead. We’re sure all collectors would have gladly paid the extra premium for the display stand if they were getting a standard (plastic) action figure with it. But that’s certainly not the case here at all.

As briefly mentioned, Princess Leia Organa can looks pretty good, or pretty terrible, depending upon the angle you look at her. This isn’t anything new. Many action figures from ages past have had this distinct quality. But with Princess Leia Organa is seems a little bit more obvious. We shuddered while looking at her through the packaging, but when we removed her and displayed her in our photo studio, we realized she did have some photogenic qualities after all. It’s just a matter of finding that perfect balance of lighting and angle to make her look the prettiest she can be. (And that isn’t something we should have to do in our opinion.) Princess Leia Organa comes with two blasters. Once without a blast effect and one with a blast effect. She comes packaged with the plain blaster and our sample was terribly bent thanks to the packaging. (When will Hasbro ever learn to place accessories in the bubble tray to prevent warping damage? (Please don’t come back at this opinion with the hot water treatment fix. Yeah, we get it. We shouldn’t have to do that.)

Like all of the Titanium Series figures, Princess Leia Organa comes with a pretty sweet display stand that is reversible. The front features the prisoner chamber hallway from the Death Star. In all honesty, Princess Leia Organa looks amazing in front of it. It has perspective and gives the illusion that you are really looking down the prisoner corridor from the film when completely set up. The reverse side, again which can be placed in the front with the base, is a silver and black artistic scene which features a beautiful profile of Princess Leia Organa with some other scenes from A New Hope worked into a collage-like background. Other characters like R2-D2 and C-3PO are prominently featured as well. The Princess Leia Organa Titanium Series figure will not be for everyone. And Hasbro has been guilty of watering down The Black Series branding for a while now. Titanium Series should be its own line. And The Black Series should only house the 6” scaled figures. Everything else should have its own unique branding. Princess Leia Organa isn’t a home run hit by any means, but we imagine that some collectors will discover some interest in this line.
