Celebrate the legendary Star Wars trilogy that changed the universe forever, with The Original Trilogy Collection. This collection brings to life the incredible story of good versus evil that captured our imagination and took us to a galaxy far, far away. The finest recreations of the iconic Star Wars heroes and villains are back with incredible detail and premium features to commemorate each epic tale in the Original Trilogy: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. And, as a tribute to the dedication of Star Wars fans everywhere, we are re-releasing elements of the original packaging that harken back to the creation of Star Wars action figures, which began over 25 years ago with the Original Trilogy. May the Force be with you!

Hasbro released the most incredible version of Han Solo from A New Hope, and they will likely never top this effort. Ever. The “Vintage” Original Trilogy Collection Han Solo action figure is breathtaking, stunning, gorgeous, brilliant, and about a thousand other positive adjectives that don’t readily come to our minds. Han Solo is evidence of what Hasbro can do in the 3.75” super-articulated line. It’s a beautiful execution on the scoundrel-turned Rebel hero. It’s a plastic masterpiece. And it’s proof that Hasbro should continue to pull out any stops that prevent them from making action figures look this excellent. There isn’t one little bit of room where we can find fault with the action figure. If Hasbro were to develop all future Star Wars action figures with the same miraculous quality as Han Solo, Star Wars collectors would whine a lot less. Super-articulated, wonderfully painted, and lightly accessorized, Han Solo is a true testament that Hasbro insisted on holding nothing back when creating most of the figures in this premium collector-focused line. Although the VOTC Han Solo action figure will be a tough one to top, we have faith that Hasbro can continue the same approach with other characters and develop beautiful characters in 3.75” plastic. We don’t expect to see this amount of quality in every future action figure, but they can put their best foot forward to produce the best quality figures possible. You can forget about all of your other Episode IV Han Solo action figures. This one is king and will remain so as far as we can see. Throw out your old ones, because the VOTC figure will put them all to shame.

Han Solo comes with an impressive 22 points of articulation. Hasbro opened a can of worms here. Collectors now expect to see this amount of articulation in all action figures. Hasbro gave Han Solo premium ball-jointed articulation in many areas of articulation. These points include ball-jointed elbows, knees, and ankles. They assist the collector with attaining many unique poses and give the action figure flexibility and variety. Ball-jointed articulation has the propensity for creating an infinite array of posing options, so expect Han Solo to do whatever you ask of it. Whether running, sitting, leaping, or leaning forward, you have all of these options and more with the VOTC Han Solo figure. While Han Solo doesn’t come with ball-jointed hips like the VOTC Luke Skywalker action figure, it does come with a broader range of flexibility than a standard action figure with swivel hips. The joints move smoothly and efficiently, and we were quite surprised by how many realistic poses we could achieve with this action figure. We believe the angle Hasbro cut the hips allows Han Solo a little more give and wiggle room to acquire a few new positions. Swivel hips typically don’t allow for a lot of movement, but that’s not the case. We’re thankful to see this versatility here, and do not take offerings like this lightly. Han Solo has a gorgeously constructed portrait that captures every last nuance of the on-screen character. The quality here is unmatched. As far as we’re concerned, Han Solo is undeniably one of the most significant action figures Hasbro has produced for 2004 and the entire history of the line. Time will be kind to this Han Solo action figure.

Han Solo appears to have a slightly concerned expression on the face. The scowl is cautious yet confident if that’s a possible way to describe it. The stature and posture are straight, and we feel the perfect position for most action figures. It will surprise you how Han Solo can go from straight as an arrow to aggressive action-oriented running poses. You don’t expect it, but this action figure has incredible variety. The ankle articulation is fantastic and provides the grounding and balance needed to attain some of the more action-styled poses. With a little bit of patience, you can achieve a great deal with Han Solo. A large amount of forethought went into Han Solo’s design. There isn’t a regret to note in the least, in our opinion. We want to comment on the figure’s deco too. The paint operations are fantastic. The hair has streaks, and the shirt is cream-colored and not white this time. We have heard complaints from some collectors that there are missing details within various parts of the figure. We don’t feel it’s worth the time or energy to complain about this figure. Hasbro has too many other disasters they created that are worthy of the scorn instead. We all want the best action figures possible, including the paint details. But sometimes tiny errors need to be ignored. Otherwise, you’ll miss out on enjoying Hasbro’s best-made action figures. You know that Han Solo is a stunning action figure. But it gets better thanks to the vintage-styled Kenner-inspired packaging. Han Solo comes with all of the elements of 1978’s SW Han Solo figure. From the STAR WARS logo to the unforgettable publicity image of Harrison Ford pointing the blaster in front of a Millennium Falcon backdrop.
