Celebrate the legendary Star Wars saga that changed the universe forever! This collection brings to life the incredible story of good versus evil that captured our imagination and took us to a galaxy far, far away. Iconic Star Wars heroes and villains are captured with incredible detail and premium features to commemorate each epic tale in the Star Wars saga. May the Force be with you!

Once in a Hasbro Q&A session, a fan site asked them if there were any figures in particular that they were extremely proud of and Hasbro immediately responded with [at the time] the upcoming Quinlan Vos figure. And you know what? They definitely have reason to be extraordinarily proud of it. Quinlan Vos had a much bigger impact on the Star Wars saga through the Expanded Universe than the films, but he made his first cameo appearance (many refer to it as an Easter egg appearance) in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This rogue Jedi, designed with the intention to be a hybrid of both his look in Episode I as well as the comics, just looks incredible and the latest Hasbro interpretation of it will rank as definitive as can be, trust us on this one. We personally don’t feel it’s entirely perfect because there are a few inconsistencies to his appearance in Episode I, but most won’t care and will be more concerned with securing this figure for their collections instead of micromanaging any potential faults it may possess. Quinlan Vos is another long-awaited figure because the first two attempts just didn’t successfully resonate with fans. If you recall, Quinlan Vos made two appearances in the Comic Packs line, first in 2007’s TAC Quinlan Vos/Vilmarh Grahrk (No. 05) set and then later in 2008’s TLC Commander Faie/Quinlan Vos (13) set. Both were decent versions of Quinlan Vos (the 2008 figure was the better of the two), but the outfits just weren’t entirely accurate and fans were desperately wanting the look from his Episode I appearance. We now have it! Quinlan Vos is without doubt an incredible action figure and will probably be one of the most sought after from The Phantom Menace wave, so if you want it, you’ll have to stalk it.

Quinlan Vos is super-articulated. (No big deal, right?) But the thing about him that should make you smile is that he comes with ball-jointed hips. This is quite a tremendous inclusion to a figure that sits in the background of the films, but ultimately expected since he rules the Expanded universe as on of the most popular Jedi there. Hasbro has incorporated a soft-goods skirt into the design in an effort to prevent the inhibition of fully useful articulation, so we give them huge credit for keeping this action figure very mobile. Quinlan Vos is tall, athletic and authentic. He looks to be of Native American descent, but the face paint and hair probably have a lot to do with bringing that to mind. His hair is a separately molded part from his head. This same technique was also utilized on 2010’s TVC Darth Vader [Anakin Skywalker] (VC13) figure. It worked very well there and it perhaps works even better here. But we bet some collector's out there won't entirely find this favorable, but more on that in a moment. Quinlan’s outfit is primarily colored chocolate brown, but he does wear a light colored undershirt and his boots are a darker brown (obviously meant to represent a certain type of leather). Most of his tunic hangs below his belt so he mostly has a plastic molded shirt below it, but Hasbro did include a soft-goods skirt to complement it and it completely go around the circumference of his waist. The belt has a hole to store his lightsaber hilt. And his hands have been expertly sculpted and maneuver his lightsaber and blaster pistol. There is also a functioning holster towards the backside of the figure and it too works like a charm. Thanks to the premium ball-jointed hips, you can ever so slightly spread his legs apart and stand him at the ready for whatever battle he needs to resolve. This is one well-designed action figure for sure, but as we've mentioned, this isn't 100% accurate for his appearance in the film.

Because of the nature of the sculpted hair it is a little awkward – but not impossible - to turn his head. Thankfully the plastic used to sculpt his locks is very pliable and will go over the shoulders. We won’t profess to know all of his exploits throughout the Expanded Universe, but we do know that Quinlan Vos has grit and attitude and is almost a loner in the comics. We are familiar with some of the stories from the comics and we did see him in The Clone Wars, but perhaps most will know him best as the Tatooine patron hanging out with other Tatooine natives and visitors. By the way, if you haven’t checked it out yet, the 2011 TCW Quinlan Vos (CW36) release is another spectacular figure. Hasbro did an incredible job on that figure also. As far as the 2011 TVC figure is concerned, this is one of the finest examples of incredible workmanship that Hasbro has consistently been bringing into the basic figure line. They are truly spoiling us and when we get amazing action figures like this, it only makes us want them more. Quinlan Vos will never need to be attempted again. And we bet that fans of him will find a way to let this version serve a purpose in their Expanded Universe displays. It’s something else when background characters get an important role in the Expanded Universe and then they quickly push their way to the forefront of Star Wars popularity. And if the actual character of Quinlan Vos doesn’t do it for you, we bet Hasbro’s action figure of him will succeed in doing so. We aren’t huge fans of Quinlan Vos, but we adore this action figure. This is how action figures should be attempted. So we now challenge Hasbro to ensure that all-new action figures follow this approach. It’s really not a lot to ask, is it?
