Even Piell is captured by separatists and taken to the Citadel, a high-security prison built atop a massive cliff face. The Jedi Master has information that could tip the outcome of the war. The Jedi launch a rescue mission using mountain-climbing backpacks to scale the steep slopes.

Watchers of The Clone Wars saw a whole other side to the seemingly diminutive Jedi Master Even Piell. His presence in The Clone Wars television show was entertaining. He was funny, crass, cranky and had a temper that may have rivaled Napoleon Bonaparte. Well, that may be an exaggeration, but he certainly possessed a spicy personality for a Jedi with such a small stature. Hasbro has been ensuring that Jedi are playing an important part in the basic figure line the last year or so and now Even Piell is next up and gets his chance in the line. Simply put, the action figure interpretation of his is excellent. Even Piell isn’t flawless, but you probably won’t care because he is superb in so many more important ways than where his issues arise. For the first time, collectors are treated to an almost super-articulated version of Even Piell. We understand that this is an animated interpretation of him, but if you have been collecting recently, you know that when Hasbro attempts an animated version of a movie-based character that a n updated realistic version is not too far behind. Well, that’s what we’re certainly wishing for when it comes to Even Piell.

Even Piell is indeed almost super-articulated. He lack ankle joints, but on an action figure this tiny, do you honestly care? (We are sure some of you out there do care.) It’s almost hard to take The Clone Wars version of Even Piell seriously. But please don’t imply this as a jab at the action figure. We love it. But Even Piell comes across as more “cute” than anything else. But you should probably take some time to digest his battle scars because once you do you’ll realize just how much of a warrior he is. Even Piell has one nasty right eye scar. (He actually lost his eye in its entirety years earlier.) But the wounds obviously didn’t heal nicely and Hasbro made sure that they captured every remaining detail in the portrait looks fantastic. And the great details really don’t stop there even though they are the most impressive. Loaded with important ball-jointed articulation, you can make Even Piell wave his lightsaber any which way you desire. And this is a big deal for fans since the last Even Piell action figure we received had his name misspelled and was released as part of a two-pack with Yaddle in the 2008 TLC Yaddle & Evan Piell (BD 19) figure set. The articulation on that figure is pitiful as you know.

Even Piell’s reduced proportions got well applied in the Jedi outfit department. All of the details like the belt, shirt and pants are perfectly in scale with his small frame and look spectacular. The coloring is wonderful and the accessories are even better. Speaking of accessories, Even Piell comes with a well-fitted backpack that comes attached with a cable and two unique grappling attachments. (Each attachment fits perfectly in his hands.) The straps that stretch across his chest come with three holes on the bottom of each side which gives you flexibility for the most proper fitting. As you can see a great deal of planning and work went into creating Even Piell. He is absolutely one of the best figures in the wave. Hasbro didn’t spare one detail on him. From his ponytail to the notches in the bottom middle of both ears, Even Piell is an action figure with incredible craftsmanship. Some will likely criticize that Even Piell is too small for Hasbro to charge the standard MSRP, but we beg to differ. If Hasbro can continue to provide the quality in the small action figures like they do for ones like Even Piell, collectors really have nothing to complain about because figures like this are incredible.
