The Star Wars Retro Collection is inspired by the 1980s STAR WARS figures and features original figure design and detailing! Continue your collection from the galaxy far, far away!

The Retro Collection Greef Karga arrived only a couple of months after The Vintage Collection Greef Karga (VC185) figure got released. And we have to admit that it’s frustrating that Hasbro decided to give the character the same outfit in both formats. Hasbro portrayed Greef Karga as the character that appears in the second season. The Black Series [Phase IV] Greef Karga (TM06) figure is based on the character’s outfit readily see in the first season. We understand that Hasbro likes to do unique things for differing scales, but collectors of everything 3.75-inch are dying to have Greef Karga’s “main” outfit in their preferred scale. The Retro Collection of Greef Karga is novel in approach and clever in execution. It may be one of the best-looking figures based on The Mandalorian in the Retro Collection line. Not all that different from how Kenner approached 1980's ESB Han Solo (Hoth Outfit) figure, Greef Karga comes with a holster that allows you to attach the included blaster pistol to stow away when not in use. The blaster fits like a glove on the holster area, and we appreciate Hasbro’s gesture. Greef Karga also comes with a vinyl cape that completes the outfit and gives it strong ties to the vintage Kenner line. The head sculpt doesn’t look too much like the on-screen character, but it’s an admirable effort, nonetheless. You can tell who the character is. Greef Karge interacts beautifully with the other figures released in the Retro Collection. It will be interesting to see if Hasbro decides this “franchise” is worthy of a second wave of action figures based on Kenner designs. Regardless, Greef Karga is a fine addition to the Hasbro Star Wars line. We would have liked to see Hasbro choose the other outfit here, but this is the next best thing.
