The Bad Batch, technically known as Clone Force 99, is the result Kaminoan experiments to create a specialist unit of clone commandos. Crosshair is the team sniper whose sharp vision gives him superior accuracy and, as a result, an air of superiority.

The Clone Wars ended, and now a story arc from it is blending into The Bad Batch Disney+ series. One of the characters is Crosshair, one of The Bad Batch members and perhaps one of the neatest looking clones from The Clone Wars’ entire television series. Crosshair is a clone commando, part of the Grand Army of the Republic during The Clone Wars, and part of Clone Force 99. The character’s most incredible skill was his role as a sniper as he was an astonishing marksman, with the ability to hit quarry from great distances. Cold as ice, Crosshair didn’t befriend many comrades. Avid fans of the character know that he referred to infantry clone trooper as “regs” and not worth his time or consideration. Sarcastic, dry, and rarely friendly, Crosshair was often at odds with his closest teammates. And all of these characteristics and traits make him an enjoyable Star Wars character. Hasbro eventually developed the character into a The Black Series [Phase IV] 6” action figure. Surprisingly, Crosshair is a mostly all-new action figure, only borrowing the furthermost extremities like the hands and feet from the previous tooling to bring forth to this release.

Crosshair is an intricately styled action figure. Hasbro developed a near-complete all-new armored outfit for the action figure. But Hasbro went above and beyond to give Crosshair a lived-in appearance. They did this by adding scoring throughout the armored pieces, leaving scratches behind and other signs of battle damage to remind us that this action figure has seen some danger a couple of times. Although primarily all-new, Hasbro articulated the joints very similarly to the Clone Trooper (Kamino) (TCW01) figure released in this lineup’s first wave. The joint move in a buttery-smooth motion and Hasbro replaced many of the annoying double hinge-jointed places of articulation with premium ball-jointed movement instead. Hasbro cast Crosshair in a dark gray plastic which helped them out tremendously with the figure’s deco. You’ll find accents of dark red enhancements here and there as well as multiple symbols specific to the character’s company in addition to the number 99 for Clone Force 99. Hasbro also implemented brown details for its leather components like the holster and belt, and ammunition belt.

Crosshair also has a removable helmet. The new design of the clone commando helmet is stunning. It’s very curvy and has lots of personality. It also comes with a fully articulated rangefinder. The helmet also fits like a glove. Underneath the helmet, you’ll find a stunning clone portrait of Crosshair. We’re struck by the incredible likeness Crosshair has to Grand Moff Tarkin. From the gray-colored hair to the widow’s peak, the likeness is reminiscent of the Galactic Empire leader. The character has a damaged left eye, similar to Clone Commander Wolffe, and other facials scarring, which reminds the collectors of the trauma this clone experiences. The Photo Real is gorgeous, and the paint operations throughout the action figure are nothing sort of impressive. For weaponry, Hasbro included a generous amount of options, Jar Jar Binks, which cost $29.99, came with less. The guns include a DC-17 blaster pistol and a sniper rifle that splits into two pieces. Also included is a backpack that stores the snip[er rifle halves. Hasbro designed this beautifully, and they should be proud. You also get the aforementioned removable helmet. This figure is a highlight of the 6” line so far, and those who collect it should be happy.
