The Disney Store is proud to introduce the Star Wars Toybox range of action figures, bringing adventures to life with characters from across The Walt Disney Company.

Disney is beginning to think outside of the box with the Star Wars Toybox line, and we're impressed with many of the latest entries in the lineup. After a long lull, Disney focused on the Prequel Trilogy for the line with characters like Darth Maul (16) and Jango Fett (17). Now, the Disney Star Wars Toybox adds the Kaleesh Warlord General Grievous to the collector-focused line, and we bet it will eagerly pique the interest of many people who aren't collecting the figures currently. General Grievous is not only one of the most popular characters from the Prequel Trilogy, but the Star Wars Toybox interpretation of the character will also remind fans of Tartakovsky'c Clone Wars micro-series and fans of Dave Filoni's The Clone Wars of the Separatist Droid Army general. The animated look of the Star Wars Toybox General Grievous borrow elements of both animated versions of the character while infusing the Toybox line's unique approaches. In short, General Grievous has something for everyone.

Fans of super-articulation will adore the movement this figure offers. Those who love brilliantly decorated action figures will appreciate the simple, albeit artistic, paint operations. Those who love properly-scaled action figures and Revenge Of The Sith, will undoubtedly want to add General Grievous to their collections. The figure has an impressive number of articulation points. A ball-socket head is joined by ball-jointed shoulders, a pair of hinge-jointed upper arms and elbows on each side, a swivel waist, ball-jointed hips, hinge-jointed knees, and ball-jointed ankles. General Grievous achieves an incredible amount of poses, and you'll find that the figure possesses excellent balance when it comes to action-oriented poses. One setback the figure has is the cape. It isn't removable and molded to the figure. Most collectors like to have the cape as a removable accessory to create different iterations of the character depending upon the scenes they're attempting to recreate. That option is unfortunately not available here.

Thankfully, Disney added two blue lightsabers and two green lightsabers. The blades aren't removable from the hilts, but impressively, Disney tooled four unique hilts. They didn't repeat any of them. And the best part is that you can securely attach the into one of Grievous' four hands. The hilts are thick enough to fill the space of the curved hand. And you can situate them in various ways to mimic the spinning motion General Grievous employed when facing his opponents during the Battle of Utapau (or other battles). Overall, General Grievous is another fantastic release in the Star Wars Toybox lineup. We hope that Disney realizes they opened up a can of worms with the release of General Grievous. Fans of the line will want to see more related clones and Separatists to help flesh out displays that use the Star Wars Toybox line of action figures. There is another small setback with General Grievous, and it's the MSRP. Disney up-charged an additional $2.00 to cover General Grievous large size. It seems no one knows how to market action figures properly anymore.
