As an agent of the Bounty Hunters Guild, Greef Karga secures bounty hunters in pursuit of valuable and rare quarries in the galaxy.

Hasbro is banging out all of the main characters from The Mandalorian in The Black Series 6” and The Vintage Collection 3.75” basic figure line. Although, it feels like they’re a tad more focused on the 6” line as more characters are pouring out into that line by comparison. The Mandalorian is a runaway success and brought back a fold of Star Wars fans that checked out when the awful Disney Trilogy was front and center for Star Wars Entertainment. (How did we ever arrive there, folks?) Thankfully, with the ignored Disney Trilogy long gone and hopefully forgotten forever, there’s new Star Wars Entertainment to focus on now. They’re bringing us fantastic stories from the Original Trilogy timelines from creators that hold Lucas’ visions protectively in their creative hands. The result? It’s a Star Wars show for EVERYONE, the way Star Wars should always remain. The Mandalorian is welcoming everyone back, and the cast of characters is one of the best-assembled under Disney. Greef Karga falls somewhere between being an A or B character, but Hasbro’s already developed him into an excellent 6” action figure, which is the subject of this review. It’s another impressive effort by Hasbro.

Greef Karga comes with an incredible articulation system, but it’s not going to impress you if you’ve been collecting Hasbro’s action figures over the past couple of years. You may have grown a little indifferent to the “butterfly” shoulder joints at this point because they’re something you expect to be there. But they do incredible things to offer an array of movement in these 6” action figures that weren’t possible before their inclusion. The figure moves well thanks to the rest of the articulation Hasbro gave it, and the figure has excellent balance and weightiness in all the needed spots to help you with posing the figure in some action-oriented poses. The costume design is intricate and contains a ton of details from the on-screen costume. And the figure comes with a molded overcoat that comes off if you’re patient enough to pose the figure is unnatural ways to remove it. Once removed, it offers Greef Karga a different look for optional display. Also, Greef Karga poses nicely whether the overcoat is on the figure or not. Hasbro utilized a rubbery material that offers flexibility for additional movement. You’re going to love the options this figure has.

Greef Karga comes with two blaster pistols, and both of them have homes in the holsters hanging from the belt. The overcoat hides the right one when worn. Astonishingly, the action figure’s head sculpt is a dead ringer for Carl Weathers. Hasbro managed to capture every significant and subtle detail of the actor with this figure. We’re not sure if they nailed the skin tone perfectly, but we think it’s an admirable effort. Besides, different lighting gives all of our respective skin tones, varying shades of color. The eyes, the nose, and the mouth of the figure are incredible. It’s impressive how far Hasbro has come with human likenesses in the 6” basic figure. We remember the early days of the line where the more extensive scale accentuated facial deco problems. Now, the opposite is true. Greef Karga may not have the notoriety of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, or perhaps Kuiil, for that matter, but we’re happy to see Hasbro not holding back on the characters they decide to produce for the 6” line. And The Vintage Collection version of Greef Karga is part of the line as well. It will be interesting to see how widespread the Mandalorian characters are in the many Hasbro Star Wars toy lines.
