Princess Leia Organa rendezvoused with the Rebel fleet and helped organize a plan to destroy the Empire's new Death Star: they would head to Endor and knock out the space station's shield generator.
It’s not often a Black Series 6” action figure is worthy of a perfect score, but we feel like Princess Leia Organa (Endor) is a case and point example of why this may start a new trend for our scoring. We won’t argue with anyone about this, but Princess Leia Organa (Endor) is sheer perfection. And it pains us that an equivalent of this isn’t available in The Vintage Collection. But we won’t digress here. Princess Leia Organa (Endor) beings forth a new level of creativity and excellence from Hasbro, and we’re so impressed with this figure that were not sure where we we’ll begin. In 2003, Hasbro produced a beautiful release for Action Collection collectors. This 12” scaled figure line broke boundaries, not unlike this 6” figure. When they released the TARGET exclusive Princess Leia On Speeder Bike (Endor Forest Chase) set, it completely wowed us. It’s not like we didn’t see a 12” scaled Speeder Bike before in the line. No, Hasbro released two versions before it, one with a Scout Trooper, and one with Luke Skywalker, but the point we’re trying to make here is that third time was the charm, and Princess Leia On Speeder Bike (Endor Forest Chase) release brought a new level of excellence to the 12” line. We hope we’re making a parallel here for Princess Leia Organa (Endor) 6” figure. While both The Black Series [Phase II] Speeder Bike With Biker Scout set and The Black Series [Phase IV] Luke Skywalker (Endor) each have their charm, Princess Leia Organa (Endor) overshoots them by leaps and bounds with authenticity, beauty, and overall excellence. 3.75” collectors will have difficulty staying away from Original trilogy characters when they look this incredible. That said, we hope Hasbro treats The Vintage Collection collectors equally and produces Princess Leia Organa (Endor) similarly in 3.75” scale.
Princess Leia Organa (Endor) is stunning. The figure is the correct height and has screen-accurate stature and posture. Hasbro developed a full costume underneath the posture so you’ll have no issues recreating the scenes on the Home One, or in the thick of the Battle of Endor. Despite the ignorance of many Disney Trilogy fans that Leia finally became a general in Episode VII, she was already a general years prior in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of The Jedi. Hasbro did a marvelous job on every detail of the figure. The hair is perfect. The facial sculpt is a dead ringer for Carrie Fisher. And the costuming and physical proportions of the character are spot on to what we see on screen. Hasbro also paid careful attention to the coloring throughout the figure. The skin tone is like fresh milk. And the doe-brown eyes glitter in the light. And they nailed the odd blue-toned color of the pants, which we won’t dismiss as a simple task. Again, everything here is perfectly put together. There is no way Star Wars collectors won’t be happy with this action figure. The figure is all-new, and has a relatively excellent articulation system. You’ll find that Princess Leia Organa (Endor) comes loaded with premium ball-jointed articulation. Some of the later enhancements like “butterfly” shoulder joints aren’t included here, but you don’t need them. This action figure attains a wealth of poses thanks to the high level of engineering and forethought that went into its approach. Whether running, standing, aiming, leaping, and poised for action, Princess Leia Organa (Endor)can do it all. The figure has an excellent center of gravity and you’ll discover that posing the figure on one foot is easily achievable, as well as some of the more action-oriented poses, or keeling poses. This figure can do it all.
Hasbro designed Princess Leia Organa (Endor) to interact with things already established in the line. For example, if you place this figure on the previously released Speeder Bike, you’ll be amazed with how well the figure interacts with it. While Princess Leia Organa (Endor) might not fully reach the pedals, the figure still looks incredible driving it. We can’t wait to set up the full Speeder Bike Chase with all the necessary parties. It will be one diorama scene worth creating! We should also mention Princess Leia Organa (Endor) interacts beautifully with case mate Luke Skywalker (Endor). They are well-proportioned to one another, and they look like they’ve jumped out of the screen into your collection. You’re going to love them, too. Perhaps the most excellent things about Princess Leia Organa (Endor) are the accessories. Man, oh man were we blown away by how well Hasbro designed them all, and perhaps we’re most impressed with how well they interact or fit on the action figure. Hasbro produced a poncho that is fitted for the figure. Some will say the colors are too bright, but we love Hasbro’s interpretation here. We agree the colors could be muted, but they still approached the color family with precision. In other words, they look right. If we had to nitpick, we wished they would have hemmed the collar, as the cut looks a little harsh to the eyes. Hasbro also tooled a new belt/holster combination piece for Princess Leia Organa (Endor). It fits like a glove around the figure’s waste. And the included blaster pistol also fits snuggly into the holster when not in use. Once again, we’re completely impressed with this expected but impressive design here. Lastly, Hasbro designed a removable helmet to be placed on the figure’s head without looking too big or ill-fitted. They succeeded here as well. Don’t miss out on Princess Leia Organa (Endor). If you skip this figure, you’re just shooting yourself in the foot.
