Relive the explosive battle between two highly skilled fighters! Jango Fett, the most dangerous bounty hunter in the galaxy, takes on Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi in a fight to the finish. As the hand-to-hand battle ensues, Jango unleashes all his firepower against Obi-Wan in an effort to escape!

We kid you not. The best Jango Fett toy or collectible for 2002 was one that was likely ignored or overlooked by the Star Wars collecting community. Which one is it, you ask? It’s the Electronic Battling Jango Fett 12 Inch Figure. If Hasbro made their 3.75” action figures this well, the line would be twice as popular as it is today. Yes, the Electronic Battling Jango Fett 12 Inch Figure is part of a tiny novelty line. But there are only two characters in the line. And it’s a shame that Hasbro decided to release Electronic Battling Jango Fett in this manner because it’s going to get lost in the shuffle, and it’s one of the greatest toy achievements. And we’re going out on a limb to claim it’s the greatest toy interpretation of Jango Fett in the Star Wars “Saga” lineup. The Electronic Battling Jango Fett isn’t perfect. Many collectors will become irritated with its play features, most notably the sound effects. But, from a sculpting and articulation standpoint, Electronic Battling Jango Fett blows all other Jango Fett action figures out of the water by a long shot. And that’s a bold statement when Electronic Battling Jango Fett was created to offer younger Star Wars fans something to play with when grown men and women are buying action figures to display.

Let's focus on the sculpting done to Electronic Battling Jango Fett. Now only does the figure come with a removable helmet, but Electronic Battling Jango Fett comes with a head sculpt that is in proportion to the rest of the figure’s body. And the bonus is that the helmet isn’t too big for the figure either. It, too, is in perfect proportion, size, and shape of the on-screen prop. Hasbro added spongy squares inside of the helmet for a tighter fit against the portrait, while protecting the paint operations. And the helmet also comes with an articulated rangefinder to boot. What more could you want as a collector? The head sculpt given to Electronic Battling Jango Fett is stunning. It’s a faithful interpretation of actor Temura Morrison and comes with the scars that the actor had in the film. Hasbro also added a four o’clock shadow on the figure's face. The realism is impressive, and it’s a fantastic likeness. The rest of the figure is molded plastic, and the figure is heavy, and the proportions are hefty. There is a fascinating amount of detail throughout the figure. You’ll find scrapes and scratches throughout the silver plating. And the blue jumpsuit underneath is realistic as well, filled with folds, pockets, and wrinkling for a lifelike look. You will love what Hasbro did here. Both signature Westar-34 blaster pistols are present and fit into the functional holsters.

The backpack is removable, as is the belt around the figure’s waist. The backpack comes with electronics, and there is a spot to attach it so that the electronics function properly. Also, the backpack has a projectile rocket. In Attack Of The Clones, Jango Fett utilizes two jetpacks. This toy is based on his appearance on Kamino while confronting Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is fitting since the only other character released in this format is Obi-Wan Kenobi. An easier way to tell them apart is to know that Jango Fett’s Kamino jetpack is a very similar to Boba Fett’s from the Original Trilogy. For the electronic aspect of the backpack, the exhaust from the “clear” propulsions light up red. And yes, they’re not removable when not in use. It’s one of the only disappointments with this figure. There is also a clip on the back left of the figure’s belt, which accepts the grappling hook. It looks amazing stored on the figure, and introduced us to a detail we didn’t know existed on the character. Jango Fett comes with a plethora of sound effects, including various speaking lines and grunts and groans from fighting. If given a chance, collectors will fall in love with the Electronic Battling Jango Fett 12 Inch Figure. Again, it’s the greatest Jango Fett action figure we’ve seen so far in the Star Wars “Saga” collection. This release is not one to easily dismiss.
