"Along time ago in a galaxy far, far away...."

The adventure continues with this exciting introduction of exclusives figures from the Star Wars trilogy! Authentically styled with incredible detail, each fully poseable,

COLLECT THEM ALL!

Seconds before his demise, Greedo pulls a blaster in hopes of acquiring the large bounty on Han Solo's head.

Initially, the Star Wars collecting community panicked when Kenner/Hasbro announced that Greedo was part of the Collector Series line as a JC Penney retailer exclusive. Eventually, more units of the highly anticipated 12 Inch Figure made its way out, and demand was slowly but surely filled. So, when Kenner/Hasbro revealed that the same Greedo that panicked collectors in 1997 would once again grace store shelves everywhere unchanged, interest in the figure fell to an all-time low. Let’s face it. Greedo is a terrible 12 Inch Figure, whether released in the Collector Series line or the Action Collection line. Its inclusion for the 1998 refreshed line look is perplexing at best. Greedo is still colored incorrectly. Greedo still has a blaster permanently affixed to the hand. And Greedo doesn’t have a faithful likeness to the on-screen character. Overall, 1998’s Greedo is a major disappointment in the Action Collection line. So much is “wrong” with Greedo, and we don’t think that the figure will stand the test of time. It’s a shame that Hasbro didn’t take any actions to upgrade this release from the original. They had the time and opportunity to improve Greedo, yet they did not. The only saving grace here is that Greedo is now $5.00 less than what JC Penney charged. But between that and the new window box packaging, Greedo is an easy pass.
