Celebrate the legacy of Star Wars, the action-and-adventure-packed space saga from a galaxy far, far away, with this collection of premium, highly-detailed 3.75-inch scale figures and vehicles. (Each sold separately. Subject to availability.)
As with any new Star Wars movie, fans will be introduced to all-new characters. The beautiful Kerri Russell plays Zorii Bliss who looks to be an antagonist in the final chapter of the Skywalker saga. Looking a lot like some perfect combination of the Rocketeer and Episode III opera patron, we don’t know much about this intriguing character. Wookieepedia doesn’t go into much detail at all. But they explain “Zorii Bliss was a female scoundrel who spent time in the Thieves' Quarter on the frigid planet Kijimi during the war between the First Order and the Resistance. She shared a past connection with Poe Dameron.” And that’s all we know before the release of Episode IX. With a similar style and body frame to Zam Wesell from Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones, we’d like to think of her as some interesting bounty hunter, but that likely won’t be the case. Also, will we see her without her helmet on her head? Or his her whole character based on mystery and what we see is what we get? Regardless of anything else, one thing is certain. And that’s Hasbro designed a better than average action figure for this brand new Star Wars character. We hope that her inclusion as one of the first figures created for The Rise Of Skywalker that her character is an interesting one.
The Zorii Bliss action figure looks to have a markedly slimmer frame than actress Kerri Russell. We’re not claiming that Kerri Russel is a large woman or anything, but the features of the action figure are extremely petite and offer a framework that is about half the size and thickness of any male action figure entered into The Vintage Collection line thus far. We believe you’ll be quite surprised by her tiny stature. Still, Zorii Bliss has a very lean and athletic build. Hasbro managed to hide most of her joints seamlessly too. Collectors will love how Hasbro worked in the aesthetics of Zorii Bliss. What they may not fully appreciate is the limitations of her articulation. It’s a bit difficult to take advantage of the full range the articulation points offer. When you pose her legs, the ball-jointed hips slip out of place, or her swivel thighs turn when you don’t want them too. You will experience some frustration when “playing” with this action figure. She’s not perfect by a longshot, yet visually, Zorii Bliss is a nicely-created action figure. She doesn’t come with a removable helmet which we find disappointing, but that may be the nature of her character. And she doesn’t come with too many accessories either, which is a growing problem for figures in The Vintage Collection.
Zorii Bliss’ costume is beautifully replicated. She’s wearing a skintight outfit that hugs her lean frame. The uniform is adorned with gold details around her arms, as well as a collar around her neck. She also wears a golden helmet which gives it a strong tie to the ancient Egyptians. At the same time, however, Zorii Bliss has a western feel to her as well, with her two holsters and blaster pistols that accompany here. The weapons are so tiny that you might be concerned with losing them. Thankfully, they stay in her hands and holsters well. She also has a strong Prequel Trilogy vibe to her, and we’re not sure how well that will pay off in the Sequel Trilogy. It would be nice if her character impresses and wows and Lucasfilm ensures that they create a meaningful and engaging character out of her. We don’t want to see her fall by the wayside like Vice Admiral Holdo, and sadly, Rose Tico did. They need characters with staying power. As far as the action figure, Zorii Bliss looks great, and we managed to pose her in a variety of ways, from action-oriented to stagnant. But no matter her role in the film, we do think that Zorii Bliss holds relevance in The Vintage Collection line should you decide to utilize her in displays outside of the Sequel Trilogy.
