Ten years after the fight to save Naboo from invasion, the galaxy is on the brink of civil war. Under the leadership of a renegade Jedi, thousands of solar systems threaten to secede from the Galactic Republic. A courageous Jedi Knight, his impulsive and headstrong apprentice, and a queen-turned-senator are drawn into the heart of the conflict... and the beginning of war.

A Jedi Knight, Ki-Adi-Mundi is the only member of the Jedi Council who is not a Jedi Master, which indicates the high value placed upon his skills and wisdom by the other Council members. A Cerean from the planet Cerea, he has the unique ability to control the thoughts, emotions and other brain waves of creatures.

Ki-Adi-Mundi is another character from Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones that’s quickly becoming a fan-favorite Star Wars character. He’s a Force-sensitive Cerean male and was a Jedi Master in addition to a member of the Jedi High Council. He had a larger role in Episode II than he did in Episode I, but this is true of most Jedi that partook in the first two films of the Prequel Trilogy. In Attack Of The Clones, he arrives with Yoda on a Republic Gunship to help rescue the 200 Jedi overrun by the Separatist Droid Army in the Geonosian Arena. In 2002, for the Star Wars “Saga” [Phase I] line, online exclusives became a tad more frequent. And Hasbro incorporated this into the 12 Inch Figures line. Their most innovative 12 Inch Figures came during this time. And within that line they produced members of the Jedi Council, designating them as exclusives to various retail brick and mortar locations such as Toys R Us, in addition to offering some exclusively online.

One of the Fan Club exclusives was Ki-Adi-Mundi. It’s another fantastic release in the 12 Inch Figures line. With a beautiful portrait, screen-accurate costume and a multiple-part accessory, Ki-Adi-Mundi is a must-have addition to your Star Wars collection. Like the other Jedi Masters and Jedi Knights in the 12 Inch Figures line, Hasbro developed a beautiful costume with faithful elements recreated exclusively for each character in the line. Unique lightsaber hilts and colorful blades accent the figures, in addition to belts and boots and multiple-layered clothing. Although the color of Jedi outfits includes mostly brown and tan, the completed looks always tend to look more vibrant than drab, interestingly. Ki-Adi-Mundi shares this assessment too. Ki-Adi-Mundi comes with average articulation, but it’s not great articulation. And the figure has some balancing issues, but are easily remedied if you’re patient attaining the poses you choose for the figure.

Ki-Adi-Mundi has a gorgeous head sculpt and paint job. Hasbro did a wonderful job recreating the shape of his extra-large cranium and the details that give it the unique appearance it has. Hasbro added a nice amount of color to decorate Ki-Adi-Mundi’s head sculpt. His nostrils are darkened. His green eyes shine brightly, and the crevices and lines throughout his crown are accented with red and pink accents to give texture and show the design of his species. We’re confident you will enjoy what Hasbro employed here to create a very nice 12 Inch Figure to complement the Star Wars “Saga” [Phase I] line. Like most exclusives, Ki-Adi-Mundi goes for $5 more than the average Star Wars 12 Inch Figure. Some collectors take exception to this, but others tend to accept it without resistance. Either way, there is no denying that Ki-Adi-Mundi is an excellent release in the Star Wars toy line. We hope Hasbro gets to as many Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters as possible.
