Celebrate the legacy of Star Wars, the action-and-adventure-packed space saga from a galaxy far, far away, with this collection of premium, highly-detailed 3.75-inch scale figures and vehicles. (Each sold separately. Subject to availability.)

The secrecy surrounding Enfys Nest from Solo: A Star Wars Story is something we may never understand. It feels like Disney went too far to mask this character from the Star Wars community for no reason at all. Despite their attempts, her gender, her likeness and other details about the character leaked in advance of the film’s release. And no matter who you were, you were interested in seeing her role in the film. Hasbro also did their part to hide this character from the collecting community as well. However, retailers’ product lists in their computers leaked quite a bit of information in advance as well. In fact, it wasn’t until 2018’s San Diego Comic-Con that Hasbro formally announced the figure. (The figure arrived a few days later in Asian markets.) That’s hiding things dangerously close to the vest if you ask us. The Vintage Collection is still a mixed bag, but at least fans of the line are beginning to see newness in the line. Fans of the line still have their reservations about where Hasbro is taking the line, but anything that is considered a “new” figure or is an “all-new” sculpt is welcomed by those who collect 3.75” super-articulated action figures. Enfys Nest brings this complete newness to The Vintage Collection. She turned out well in many aspects, but she is also in need of some tweaking before we can consider her a perfect release. Let’s find out where she shines, and where she still is a bit too dull.

Let’s rundown what is positive about Enfys Nest. First, Hasbro tooled a dynamic action figure here. Hasbro loaded her with 28 points of articulation. And dare we say it, 28 points of articulation may be "too many" points for the 3.75” line. It’s not that we’re not thankful for so much articulation, but it is nearly impossible to utilize it all to the fullest, and some points feel wasted on the figure. Let us be clear. We’re not complaining about how much articulation Hasbro gave the figure. But if Hasbro eliminated one or two points so that the cost of better deco is affordable, we would forgo a few extra points of unnecessary articulation to get a better-looking figure. Enfys Nest does look rather nice. But she lacks important details in the head sculpt that are essential to her character’s design. What’s lacking in the deco on her head sculpt is a final wash (because the coloring is off) and the Aurebesh detail (because that would make the head sculpt screen-accurate). Hasbro’s figures often lack final washes that breathe realism into their action figures. It’s a shame, but they need to bring back this finalization process in their figures’ paint jobs. Thankfully, Hasbro painted the rest of the figure cleanly and neatly. There is something very “Felucian” about Enfy Nest’s costume. You’ll see the similarities too once you have the figure in-hand as we do.

Enfys Nest looks perfectly in scale to the onscreen character. She is shorter than most other characters and Hasbro worked that into this figure. Many collectors wished that Enfys Nest came with a removable mask/helmet. Hasbro expressed that they didn’t know much about this character until much too late to work this into the figure. Not knowing key details about a charcater is a major issue that Disney Star Wars needs to resolve. Their licensees should have more access to these new characters so they’re able to work in as much authenticity as possible into the products they make to support the film. We agree that this figure should have, at the very least, come with an interchangeable unmasked portrait. That would have made this figure worthy of every penny in its $12.99 MSRP. We suppose we can expect another version of this figure in the future with a human likeness next. Hasbro worked in premium soft-goods into Enfys Nest. She comes with a two-layered cape that contains an orange lining with a dark brown outer layer. It’s made from a premium material and have a stuff, yet workable drape. It’s permanently attached via the figure’s plastic molded shawl that sits on her shoulders. Enfys Nest also comes with four gauntlet attachments. Two are in the closed, position and two are in the opened position. But all four attach to the figure tightly. She also comes with her signature staff and thanks to great design and super-articulation, she can hold it perfectly.
