442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper: Equipped with AT-RT walkers and ISP speeders with green markings, and skilled in besieging enemy fortifications, the 442nd Siege Battalion was a unit of clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

212th Attack Battalion Utapau Trooper: These clone troopers served with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

Coruscant Guard (Phase II): As members of the Coruscant Guard, a military police unit stationed in the capital world of the Galactic Republic, clone shock troopers were the elite soldiers of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

501st Legion Clone Trooper: An elite unit of clone troopers, the 501st Legion patrolled the grounds after their siege of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

If you collected post 2005, you could be guaranteed that more clones you could keep track of were coming into the Star Wars line. Clones that were movie specific, concept art, and even Hasbro's own creations entered the basic figure line at a very brisk pace. For most of the line’s post Revenge Of The Sith life it would be a rare occurrence not to find a phase I or phase II Clone Trooper action figure at retail. What’s more, collectors didn’t mind this too much. While it may have been boring getting the same sculpt over and over again, by Hasbro painting the many unique battalions made this a very fun time for us. We were able to round out our collections and give our own Grand Army of the Republic its own unique look. This was truly part of the fun of being a Star Wars collector during this time. Now that we have a new 6” scale, it appears this trend is going to continue (which is fine by us by the way). There are many clones to get to in The Black Series 6” line, and now with the help from Entertainment Earth, fans of the line will be getting four in one fell swoop. Although a boxed set, the clumsily titled 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper/212th Attack Battalion Utapau Trooper/Coruscant Guard (Phase II)/501st Legion Clone Trooper four-pack looks like it’s aimed to please Prequel Trilogy fans and pretty much all Star Wars collectors at the same time. We were completely wowed by the collection of figures in this set; ESPECIALLY the paint operations/deco. It's some of the nicest applications we have ever seen in the line. This wonderful four-pack introduces into 6” scale key clones from Revenge Of The Sith, plus one based on Revenge Of The Sith concept art, so Hasbro is killing four birds with one stone with this fantastic release. The figures come packaged in a deluxe accordion-styled gift box where all four are attached to each other, yet falsely appear like four individual 6" figures. It looks great closed or opened up where the figures are side by side. We couldn't be more pleased with the presentation AS WELL AS the contents. Entertainment Earth should be very proud to feature such a lovely exclusive.

The decision to include four army builder figures in one deluxe gift set is truly a wise decision on Hasbro's part. This method allows for the release of these clones and it helps those collecting this line very much. You get to check off all of these clones in one shot. This not only works well for the line, but the for the brand as a whole. Let’s be honest. While we know it’s necessary for cost containment purposes, getting an obligatory newly painted Clone Trooper in a case assortment with other new figures is hardly exciting. We did see instances of this in the past and on average it hadn't worked out so well for collectors. When Hasbro did release these types of “army builder” figures as part of The Black Series 6” mainline, they tend to collect on store shelves. And that's the last thing anyone wants to see happen. Plus, they’ve already had success with a multiple trooper pack. Remember the Amazon exclusive Phase I Clone Trooper Commander/Phase II Clone Trooper/Imperial Stormtrooper/First Order Stormtrooper Officer four-pack? This exclusive was a hit and it helped us complete the many different clones and other troopers that were still outstanding in the line. It sold very well too. For people who don’t care about all of the colored variants out there, this may be an easy pass, but hopefully with one look at our photo gallery everyone will see what he or she will be missing passing on it. For the collector that needs them all, well, this is the only way to go in our opinion! Entertainment Earth’s TBS6 [P3] 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper/212th Attack Battalion Utapau Trooper/Coruscant Guard (Phase II)/501st Legion Clone Trooper 6” four-pack has actually exceeded our expectations. We can't complain about the paint operations on ONE SINGLE figure in this set. They all have been done remarkably well. The final figures look better than what the promotional images had shown. Some things annoy us though. Like why is the Coruscant Guard (Phase II) called that? Why the heck is this figure not called an Imperial Shock Trooper? All of the included phase II Clone Trooper come with a single DC-15 blaster, but the shock trooper comes with the longer DC-15 blaster rifle.

The 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper is based on Revenge Of The Sith concept art. Widely believed to be the original color of the 212th Attack Battalion, this clone made its action figure debut as 2006’s TSC Clone Trooper (442nd Siege Battlion) (SAGA 057). Now a decade to the date almost we get this figure again in a new scale. The 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper looks excellent and we’re very happy that he has been included in this multipack. We also get the 212th Attack Battalion Utapau Trooper. Like the 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper, this character made its action figure debut as 2006’s TSC Clone Trooper [Utapau] (SAGA 026). Again, a decade later we now have the 6” version. The Corsucant Guard (Phase II) character made its super-articulated debut in 2006’s TSC Skirmish In The Senate Battle Packs set. Here it is in the 6” scale. This figure bugs us for a couple of reasons: some founded and some unfounded. We don’t like the new name of the character. For us they will always be known as Shock Troopers. But more importantly, we’re not crazy about the application of the vertical bars on the helmet. They looks too far spaced from each other and also don’t seem tall enough. Other than that the figure looks fine. We’re big fans of the 501st Legion, so we’re thrilled about the inclusion of the 501st Legion Clone Trooper figure here. For us, we think this figure turned out the best. He made his super-articulated debut as 2008’s TAC 501st Legion Trooper [Version 2], although some like to say that 2007’s TCS Commander Appo (SAGA 064) figure was technically the first. The 501st Legion Clone Trooper once again looks fantastic and it is so nice to see him finally available in The Black Series 6” lineup, even if that means as an exclusive. We think that this figure would have been successful as a basic release as well. In summation, the 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper/212th Attack Battalion Utapau Trooper/Coruscant Guard (Phase II)/501st Legion Clone Trooper pack is a must-have for us. Now how about you?
