Inspired by Sergeant Sinker in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Sideshow Collectibles is proud to introduce the Wolfpack Clone Trooper: 104th Battalion Sixth Scale Figure from our Militaries of Star Wars collection.

Under the command of Jedi General Plo Koon and Commander Wolffe, the loyal Clone Troopers of the Wolfpack squad identify themselves with a distinctive blue-grey decor, designed to honor fallen comrades at the hands of General Grievous during the Battle of Abregado. Ready for the next mission, the Wolfpack Clone Trooper Sixth Scale Figure comes equipped with a standard issue jetpack, complete arsenal of weapons and full range of articulation.

Stop sending in the clones Sideshow! It’s honestly becoming much too much to bear anymore. Sideshow Collectibles has become so obsessed with clones that they’ve managed to allow competing company Hot Toys beat them to the punch with characters longtime collectors have been patiently waiting for Sideshow to make for them. (Chewbacca, anyone?) We totally get it. Sideshow has to use existing parts over and over to help cost out tooling budgets year by year, but this is ridiculous now. Sure, it’s not like we don’t eventually want them, but the incessant and relentless pattern that these clones are coming into the 1:6 Scale Figures line is completely unsettling. We would love to see them put the clones on the shelf for at least two years. The Militaries Of Star Wars line has become so inundated with clones that they beat all other “military” personal four to one. That’s just not right. It’s not that we don’t appreciate the nod to The Clone Wars, a great Star Wars property that Lucasfilm Ltd. has decided to tuck away for a little bit (and much too soon may we add). It’s just that the balance between “clone” and “every other type of Star Wars character” is so skewed that their 1:6 Scale Figures line feels like a Clone Of Star Wars line than anything else at this point. We’re done whining.

The good news here is that Sideshow Collectibles has decided to dive into the 104th Battalion: The Wolfpack clones to accompany the stunning Clone Commander Wolffe (104th Battalion). Although it’s just been under a year since we received the leader of this battalion, it’s definitely nice to get the “generic” clones that accompany him in battle in this line as well. Because these clones have such unique color flashes and styles in their armor, we bet that we could expect to see a few more of The Wolfpack before Sideshow calls this line quits. You are probably already aware that Sideshow Collectibles has updated very key points of the armor to make it as screen accurate as possible. Some of the plating has been updated, but most importantly, the helmet style has been revised to be a nearly exact replica of the costume onscreen (which is really only digital). This gives the phase II armor for the Armored body type a spectacular appearance and most collectors have finally resigned themselves to the fact that Sideshow probably couldn’t do better at this point. There are some setbacks with how the armor functions, but that shouldn’t affect your appreciation for figures that utilize these armored parts. If they can’t bend a certain way, it’s because it wasn’t meant to bend that way.

The Wolfpack Clone Trooper (104th) looks pretty fantastic. If you don’t know, this is meant to be a realistic 1:6 Scale Figure version of Sinker as he was seen in The Clone Wars season four episode entitled Mercy Mission. Sideshow was extremely faithful to his appearance in his episode. And the realistic details translated very, very nicely into this line. You may have to refresh your memory, but the 104th Battalion typically come with a lot of extra gear in The Clone Wars. Sideshow ensured that they offered these extras to collectors. Not only does the Wolfpack Clone Trooper (104th) figure come with the standard weapons and hand attachments, he also comes with a magnetic jetpack accessory as well as a removable backpack with cloth flap. It may feel like more of the same for a lot of the collectors who have grabbed every clone to date, but at least they’ve included everything here to give collectors a feeling of completeness with this release. We’re thoroughly impressed with the paint operations. In an era where paint operations have become the albatross around Hasbro’s neck, it’s great to see that the current production of collectibles of high quality is being maintained with Sideshow’s products. If you’re a fan of Commander Wolffe, we’d say to not think twice about this purchase. You know you want Sinker too.
