Ten years after the fight to save Naboo from invasion, the galaxy is on the brink of civil war. Under the leadership of a renegade Jedi, thousands of solar systems threaten to secede from the Galactic Republic. A courageous Jedi Knight, his impulsive and headstrong apprentice, and a queen-turned-senator are drawn into the heart of the conflict... and the beginning of war.

The Jedi are protectors of the Republic, the guardians of justice and freedom. Their order consists of men and women from many different races and species, including the Nikto. A humanoid species with flat faces and multiple nostrils, the Nikto come from the planet Kintan. Though they come from the various corners of the universe, the Jedi are united in their fight against the dark side of the Force.

Hasbro had some difficulty picking the Jedi for action figure production because of the many frames within Star Wars Episode II: Attack of The Clones, especially during the Battle of Geonosis, are sensory overload. Focusing on anything in those sequences proves to be a chore. If you think about it, the scenes within the Geonosis Arena are a grander Prequel Trilogy expression of the Chalmun's Cantina from Episode IV or Jabba's Palace from Episode VI. All of these scenes gather together a unique set of alien and human characters in one place. And collectors want them all designed in 3.75" scaled plastic for their collections. Sure, the Outlander Club provided Hasbro resources to generate additional characters, but the Battle of Geonosis was more energetic. The Outlander Club scenes felt like a desperate copycat of Chalmun's Cantina and never gripped fan interest. The genuine interest from collectors pools in the Geonosis Arena scenes where we see species after species fight for the Republic's freedom and against the Separatists' tyranny. Nikto (Jedi Knight) is one of these characters, but it's nearly impossible to find this Jedi Knight anywhere within the Geonosis Arena.

Some characters have limited reference materials. Nikto (Jedi Knight) is one of them. Hasbro chose to develop the character from Attack Of The Clones in the Star Wars "Saga" line. Nikto (Jedi Knight), whose official name is Fi-Ek Sirch, is a lost face in the crowd of 200 plus Jedi fighting during the Battle of Geonosis. You see a character with the same silhouette from behind, but it's hard to gauge for sure if it's the same character or not. (Editor's Note: The deleted scenes from the Blu-ray release of the Star Wars saga show an almost identical character alongside Ki-Adi-Mundi in some extra footage that never made it to film.) Whether you can find Nikto (Jedi Knight) in Attack Of The Clones or not doesn't matter. If you collect all of the action figures that Hasbro makes, it goes without saying that this is another figure you need. The figure looks very good, but you should know right away that the articulation is disappointing. Despite this, you can "situate" the figure in a display or somewhere else, and it looks excellent. Hasbro added beautiful detail to this action figure, and the static pose looks perfect for what purpose this character serves in the film, visible or not.

Nikto (Jedi Knight) comes with four accessories. The outer robe is removable, but the figure will look wonky without it because the sleeves are cream-colored, and the shirt is dark brown. You may be able to get away with the undershirt looking more like a vest, but it's not a perfect alternative way to display him. Coincidentally, you'll get more mobility out of Nikto (Jedi Knight) with the outer robes removed. The figure also comes with a hilt and blue lightsaber blade. Hasbro designed the blade to be removable so that you can pose the figure the hilt in the hands, or you can also attach a spinning "Force" effect instead. The "Force" effect is not in Episode II. It's included here for extra play value. Nikto (Jedi Knight) comes with only six articulation points, and they're all swivel joints. The lower half of the figure's body is statuesque, and other than lifting the arms up and down; the figure doesn't offer many different posing configurations. And you won't achieve many lightsaber-wielding positions either. But, we do have to give credit to the art of the sculpt. The portrait is excellent, as are the hands (which swivel very nicely, by the way). There is an inordinate amount of detail tooled into them that it's certainly worth noting. Nikto (Jedi Knight) is a filler figure in the Star Wars "Saga" line, but it's a welcomed addition to the Jedi-heavy collection of Star Wars figures.
