This ten-year old Padawan is one of the most promising students in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. The young boy finds himself in the middle of a dark act of betrayal by a trusted member of the Jedi Order.

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith was emotionally gripping in so many ways. We witnessed the breaking of Padme’s heart, we saw our Jedi hero go down a dark path and burn nearly to death. We saw the Jedi get decimated during Order 66. And we saw innocent younglings die at the hand of Darth Vader. Did we really ever question why this movie was rated PG-13?! Despite all of the tragic events that transpired in the two+ hours of the film, Revenge Of The Sith ties the Prequel Trilogy and the Original Trilogy together in so many special ways. George Lucas knew this was the last opportunity for him and his family to make a cameo appearance in a Star Wars film, so he made it a priority to get it done this time. George’s son, Jett Lucas became Zett Jukassa for Episode III and his brief but action-packed appearance was memorable as he was snuffed out by the 501st Legion at the Jedi Temple. What you may not be aware of however is that “Zett Jukassa” made an appearance in Episode II as well. But in that film the character’s name was Warpoc Skamini and now there’s a new backstory that merges these characters with two different names into one backstory. It’s interesting to say the least.

It seems that Hasbro lost a little bit of steam with the last few waves of the Revenge Of The Sith line (not counting/excluding wave 12 and wave 13 – the Repack & Repaint waves – because we love those a lot). But figures like Captain Antilles and Zett Jukassa (and even the Utapaun Warrior – as much as we like that figure) just don’t hold up as well as the marvelous figures we received earlier in the line. Zett Jukassa is not terrible, but he isn’t great either. This young Padawan MOVED on screen, yet Hasbro decided not to incorporate too much articulation into the figure. The swivel shoulders and elbows along with swivel hip movement barely assist you to pose him in some cool Jedi like positions. So we are disappointed by that. And then with no articulation below the hips in both legs just make us sigh.A character that takes on the 501st Legion so boldly with a lightsaber deserves a little bit more attention doesn’t it? Hasbro could have really created a forward thinking base figure out of Jukassa for future Padawan figures. But instead they decided to make a “passable” version. (We say “boo” to that.)

Zett Jukassa has a fair head sculpt. We personally feel he looks way too cherubic for our tastes, but other collectors feel that the likeness is perfect. (We don’t see what you’re seeing if you feel that way.) Besides a much too large head, Zett Jukassa’s proportions just don’t match the actor seen in the film. The paint job of this figure is simple but looks decent. There are instances of bleeding and the application on the face need a little bit more perfecting. And we are of the opinion that his skin color is too pale, but you may feel differently about that. Zett Jukassa comes with a separate lightsaber holt and blue lightsaber blade. Again, this is a nice feature to have for a lightsaber, but the attachment parts are so brittle that they’re more incline to break than work they way Hasbro has intended them to work. Zett also comes with an environmental display stand which is always nice to have, but we would have much rather seen Hasbro be more generous with the articulation instead. So, there you have it. Zett Jukassa is a fairly nice addition to the line, but he is a little bit boring too. And more articulation would have made him more exciting for sure.
