Found! Red Phase Legacy Collection Saga Legends

Posted by Paul | June 19, 2009 at 08:12 PM ET |

More signs of "phase red" of the Legacy Collection (it seems the "The" has been dropped) are hitting the brick and mortar side of retail. Found in a TARGET store today are the newest Saga Legends figures. And when we say new, we only mean newly packaged as there certainly is nothing new contained behind the bubble! However, we did notice that there is now a picture of a Clone Trooper (that isn't the Coruscant Landing Platform Clone Trooper) on the back of the Clone Trooper (Revenge Of The Sith) figure which may prove the fact (which we have clung to for a while now) that the plain white ones are indeed seen in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith. Let the controversy begin! Click through for all the new photos!

Posted by Paul | June 18, 2009 at 08:58 AM ET |

We have pictures to show off of the brand-spanking-new 12" Stormtrooper Commander from Sideshow Collectibles. A character that is destined to become a hot commodity simply because of the fact that so many collectible interpretations of it are so elusive (can anyone say "Blackhole Stormtrooper"?), the figure is nonetheless striking. Do You Need 12" Stormtrooper Replacement Hands?

Posted by Paul | June 07, 2009 at 02:57 PM ET |

If you have already purchased the 12" Imperial Stormtrooper from Sideshow Collectibles, chances are you may already be aware of the paint-chipping issue on the hands. Many of the figures' hands were cast in white plastic and painted black and easily chip when another object brushes against them, including the Stormtrooper's own blaster rifle. But Sideshow's excellent customer service department is sending out replacement hands (this time cast in black plastic) to those in need. Click through to see an exaggerated photo of the damage that is possible with the old white cast hands.

Review: Captain Needa - TLC - BD 40

Posted by Paul | June 02, 2009 at 08:55 AM ET |

The focus of today's Research Droids Reviews is a slacker member of the Galactic Empire. Captain Needa was a tall thin captain that didn't meet Vader's expectations and suffered a doomed fate. Another fine addition to The Legacy Collection, Captain Needa pioneers a feature that will sure be applied to future Imperial officers.
