It's Time For Hasbro To Add 1985 The Power Of The Force Cards To The Vintage Collection

Hasbro has a tremendous opportunity to release The Vintage Collection products that everyone wants with very little cost. Contained costs + fan engagement + desperately wanted/needed figures = happiness everywhere. (more….)

It’s time that The Vintage Collection releases The Power Of The Force figures into the lineup. Hasbro treated us to a wonderful Yak Face figure on this card art, but it’s exclusive to Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna), and besides, collectors want other characters.

What better way to get older and newer figures out to the collecting community while not costing a lot to produce. Imagine if Hasbro took some of their greatest hits and repackaged them on The Power Of The Force Kenner cards while including the highly sought-after collector coins along with them?

This special release could be a retailer exclusive if Hasbro wishes. But something like this is so much better than a carbonized figure, or anything else gimmicky.

Above are ten suggestions. We have listed AT-AT Driver (I’d prefer an all-new sculpt), Gamorrean Guard, and Nikto (Skiff Guard). These are three of the hardest-to-find Kenner figures on the aftermarket. There also wanted in The Vintage Collection, unlike Han Solo (Endor). Plus, two of them received “filler” Warok coins. Hasbro could correct the Kenner error and give the AT-AT Driver the Imperial AT-AT Walker coin, and Nikto the Tatooine Skiff coin, two of the hardest to find mail-away coins from the Kenner era.

Also above are the recently offered Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) – which is currently SOLD OUT everywhere – and Boba Fett (because there could never be enough Boba Fett figures released).

Kithaba, Luke Skywalker (Battle Poncho), Luke Skywalker (Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit), Imperial Stormtrooper, and Biker Scout are all excellent choices for consideration as well. But these aren’t the only ones. Hasbro has a large list from which to choose candidates for this line.

I didn’t like paying $17.99 each for carbonized figures. I would have no problem paying that for The Power Of The Force figures. You may have a different opinion here.

Your thoughts in the comments, please.
