Toy Run Tuesday #139 - New TVC Tarkin?
One figure that has always been on my list, but always just a little too expensive for me to justify buying on eBay is TVC Tarkin. The cost is justified due to the demand of the figure. Honestly, though, the real reason I haven’t bought one is because the figure doesn’t really look that good. It’s an odd green color, and the soft goods were misused. I have taken steps toward making my own custom, but I would really like an all-new Grand Moff Tarkin. What do you think, Toy Runners? Is Tarkin worthy of an all-new slot in TVC? Let us know…
I really love this headsculpt provided by Spartan118 Customs. I believe it was shrunk down from the Hot Toys Tarkin. With modern sculpting technology, Hasbro could easily get something closer to Peter Cushing’s likeness than their previous attempt.
Obviously some work needs to be done to make this figure a real Tarkin (like the rank bar). I do hope we get an all-new officer body that Hasbro can use for all the officers we want. They could repaint/retool to their heart’s content.
