The Vintage Collection AT-ST Driver figure I was missing from my original pre-order from Walmart arrived today out of the blue. And, once again, came in a bubble-mailer all by itself. When I opened the package, I was quite tickled by its condition. (There is no point in getting upset anymore.) Thank goodness I didn’t open my other three that are folded in half since their condition is much better! That said, this arrival served as a metaphor for me for how I feel about collecting, where Hasbro is with the TVC toy line, and where Disney Star Wars is with its audience. Let’s all “fake” celebrate the five-decade landmark, OK?! How can an action figure arrive already in a position to man an Imperial AT-ST Walker while still inside of the packaging? But my figure did!
