Hasbro Reveals Four New The Black Series 6" Old Expanded Universe Characters Including Jaxxon!

StarWars.com reveals four new The Black Series 6″ figures based on the old Expanded Universe. Guaranteed to kill the hearts of 3.75″ collectors, Hasbro finally produces Jaxxon. See the full story HERE.

UPDATE: Photos and additional info added! Please click through!

First, let’s take a look at Luke. He seems to be merely a repaint of the Dagobah figure. Luke also comes with a Ysalamiri.

This is Dagobah Luke in all black.

This is the Ysalamiri that comes with Luke:

This is an all new sculpt and not a re-use of the Ysalamiris that came with the SDCC Thrawn set.

Jaxxon is a kitbash of existing parts and some new parts. At closer inspection it appears that Jaxxon is actually reusing the legs of the Farmboy Luke figure. I just compared the sculpts and the legs appear to be 100% identical. Also, the torso and arms are from the X-Wing Luke figure, a quick comparison reveals that all the wrinkles etc are identical. So the only new parts are the torso armor, the holster (it’s not Jango Fett’s holster) and the head.

The figure does look nice, even if it’s just a kitbash.

Sith Apprentice Maul is not Robo Legs Maul from the Clone Wars, but any Maul figure will probably be a swift seller. It is likely the legs are reused from the original Maul figure (difficult to tell from the photo alone), but torso, arms and also the head are all new!

Maul’s headsculpt is much improved and looks a lot more like Ray Park now:

And finally there is Carnor Jax:

Hasbro reuse their Royal Guard sculpt here and merely repaint it. The only new parts are the cape and the weapon.

So, are you excited for the EU comic book figures? Will you buy all of them or just a few?
