The Clone Wars Is The Most Streamed Show

Unfortunately there are no ratings for streaming shows and the platforms keep their numbers top secret. So external analytics are performed by companies such as Parrot Analytics that look at a variety of things to determine how successful a streaming show actually is. For this Parrot Analystics analyzes video streaming, social media activity, photo sharing, blogging, comments on fan and critic rating platforms, as well as downloads and streaming via peer-to-peer protocols and file sharing sites. So how does The Clone Wars perform? Spoiler: it’s a success! Click through for more!

The Clone Wars Season 7 is a success

According to Parrot Analytics it turns out that season 7 of The Clone Wars is the most streamed original show at the moment, it took the top spot in late April and early May, just when the final arc was released, The Mandalorian is in second place here btw. That’s certainly a huge success for both Star Wars series on Disney+, which is still a very new platform, but is quickly gaining subscribers. The service has more than 54 million subscribers already. Netflix has almost 70 million subscribers in the US and more than 180 million worldwide. It looks as if Disney+ is quickly catching up here, especially in the US and the service is yet to launch in many territories. Some European countries were just added in March 2020.

With that kind of popularity and success the question must be asked if there should be more The Clone Wars. There are still a ton of unfinished episodes wth recorded dialogue and since the show is an anthology series it should be not too much of a problem to jump back in time a bit to give fans something like Crystal Crisis on Utapau, for example. It also shows that Star Wars is still in demand. This aligns pretty well with the fact that Star Wars was the number 1 top performer for Funko in the 1st quarter and that Star Wars toy sales grew for Hasbro as well.

So, would you like to see more of The Clone Wars? Even if that meant going back in time? Or do you feel Lucasfilm should focus on new things now and that revisiting The Clone Wars would not be as exciting anymore, now that we know how the series ends?
