Many have asked how to secure an R5-BOO19 action figure. We’ve learned that they’re completely sold out and that eBay is the only place you can find them. We have no way to confirm whether Disney Parks are entirely sold out of this figure, but since today is Halloween, we don’t anticipate them getting any more of them. The epic conclusion to the ILMxLAB VR game Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will drop on Oculus Quest and Rift headsets on November 21. Vader Immortal: Episode III will wrap up the story that began in the first episode which finds a Force-sensitive smuggler being recruited by Darth Vader. The game allows you to wield thermal detonators, Imperial blasters, and of course, you can use the Force along with your trusty lightsaber. If you haven’t yet, I suggest checking it out here!

Just what is going on over at Lucasfilm/Disney? Benioff & Weiss were announced as the ones who would oversee a new Star Wars trilogy/project in 2018, and Disney CEO Bob Iger mentioned them by name again and again since then. Now Deadline reports that the former Game of Thrones showrunners have stepped down from their Star Wars project. Some speculations arose when Benioff & Weiss made a deal with Netflix not too long ago, because that begged the question of why Netflix would pay them both so much money if Benioff & Weiss would be potentially busy with Star Wars for years to come. So now we have the answer. They will not work on Star Wars. Now, this is nothing new for Lucasfilm. They’ve lost quite a few directors/writers in the past few years, all of them were fired.

And while this is just speculation one could assume that whatever idea Benioff & Weiss came up with for their movie project was nixed by Disney in favor of whatever it is Kevin Feige may be doing. Deadline thinks it was their busy schedule that informed their decision, but they fail to mention that their Star Wars project was announced long before they made a deal with Netflix which now seemingly leaves them no time for Star Wars.

And while these numbers are very tentative it’s still worth looking at them and then to see how The Rise of Skywalker is actually trending on Google and YouTube. Obviously, the date for the Walmart Exclusive The Black Series [Phase III] Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) availability online has changed. It should have gone up last week, but due to undisclosed reasons, there is a small delay. The good news is that we have a new specific date, and unless something changes between now and then, this is the live date. Hasbro, I’m excited about the Galaxy Of Adventures line and love the products you’re producing for it, but what are you trying to kill it with the terrible case assortment ratios? I mean, I don’t have a Master’s degree in business or anything, but the case assortments you put together for the first three waves of the line will undoubtedly contribute to its death. Hasbro addressed the confusion surrounding the VC150 and VC164 figures in the Vintage Collection today on their panel at the MCM London Comic Con. As you already know Leia is definitely VC150 and only a few batches of her were made with the VC164 number. Now the question was what figure would be VC164 then or if fans had to wait a long time to find out. Hasbro revealed in London that the upcoming Cara Dune Vintage Collection figure will be VC164. So collectors will now have two VC164 figures in their collection, if they were able to get an early release of the Yavin Leia figure.

The Hasbro team revealed two more The Rise of Skywalker The Black Series figures today at London Comic Con. Zorii Bliss and a Knight of Ren are coming to the 6″ line. Thanks to the Fantha Tracks team for the live-feed of the presentation.

The Hasbro team revealed today the second The Vintage Collection figure from the upcoming The Mandalorian, and it’s the Mandalorian himself. This is the second TVC reveal from the upcoming show. Proving they still have a love for the Prequel Trilogy, Hasbro revealed the two The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figures Anakin Skywalker (Padawan) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Knight) that were initially rumored to be coming right here at Jedi Temple Archives quite a while back. They’ve finally slotted them into the line. Now I am more bummed they didn’t give Clone Commander Obi-Wan Kenobi the correct head sculpt. Also revealed is a new The Vintage Collection Cara Dune. Hasbro, if you don’t MILK the appearance of Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker for an opportunity to bring The Vintage Collection collectors a super-articulated 3.75″ action figure of Emperor Palpatine, it may go down as one of the biggest mistakes of your career developing toys for the Star Wars brand license. Now, we know you’d likely be tempted to release it on a TROS card back, but we’re sorry to inform you it would have to go on a Return Of The Jedi card back so we can check off one of the Kenner original 92. Thank you. (Feel free to release a second version in a box with a throne too.)

Here is the cover for issue #2 of the upcoming Marvel comic series, written by the amazing Charles Soule, The Rise of Kylo Ren. It will be a four-part mini-series covering the backstory of Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren. This cover might already answer some questions. We know the Knights existed prior to Kylo, and now we see one of them has a lightsaber. Does that mean they ARE the Acolytes of the Beyond from Aftermath? Is it the same girl, Kiza, that was consumed by the Dark Side presence in her mask and was given a red lightsaber by Yupe Tashu? I’m just saying, it’s looking more and more likely! Hopefully, we get these answers and more from this series which I will be doing a review of when released. You can also pre-order issue 1 from Marvel here. So tell us, what does this cover say to you? Either way, I’m always happy to see Luke wield the green! An ultra rare Kenner Rocket-Firing Boba Fett action figure is up for auction! Hake’s auctions has the figure and they believe it may bring in up to $500,000. Now, I think this is a bit on the high side. Earlier this year an unpainted prototype of Rocket-Firing Boba Fett was sold for a then record high of $112,926. What speaks for the Boba Fett up for auction now is its near mint condition, he’s also fully painted. The figure is AFA-graded 85+ NM+. You can see a photo of the actual figure below, click on it to see it in great detail. The current bid is almost $121,000, with 14 more days to go, so this Boba Fett will definitely set a new record for the most valuable Star Wars action figure ever, even if it’s not auctioned off for $500,000.

Go to Hake’s auctions to see all the details, including more photos, plus certificates of authenticity. They also have a carded double telescoping Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi (both believed to bring in up to $100k) up for auction. Certainly the perfect gift for any serious Star Wars fan! Hasbro released their numbers for the 3rd quarter 2019 earlier today. And while overall net revenue is almost flat, compared to Q3/2018, Hasbro’s Partner Brands saw significant growth again after several weak quarters. Click through for all the relevant details!

We all saw the final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker last night. It was extremely light on story, to the point that it didn’t give away anything at all, but instead was filled with beautiful, sometimes breathtaking imagery and epic scenes. But the trailer also confirms basically everything that was reported in leaks weeks ago. Which begs the question if the rest of the leaks, the leaks about story and plot are also true. So let’s have a final discussion about The Rise of Skywalker spoilers!

On the 18th day of Triple Force Friday, retail gave to me, SIX First Edition six-inch, FIVE TVCs! FOUR store exclusives, THREE Galaxy Of Adventures, TWO Funko Pops! And a new hater throwing unpublishable slurs and insults at me! Better get out there, folks! Newly arriving stock of stuff that should have been available on October 4th is entering retail as we speak!

There was some initial confusion about the numbering for the new Vintage Collection Princess Leia Organa (Yavin) figure. While Hasbro had announced at NYCC that Leia would replace the cancelled Darth Revan figure and be VC150, the first batches of the figure showed her with a VC164 numbering. Now Anthony S. has come across a VC150 Leia at his local Target, so Hasbro did know what they were talking about after all. Will you get both the VC164 and VC150 version? Yikes! Either the packaging is warping these figures’ legs, or the tooling is beginning to breakdown at the factory. Regardless, Hasbro needs to employ some better quality control on some of The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figures. JTA reader Darth Cannabis.sends us an image that should send shivers down your spine. Hopefully, this won’t become a chronic issue. And I hope hot water helps get these figures back in a shapely form.

Wow! I just noticed that The Vintage Collection Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard) figure is out of stock. And it’s already going for a premium on eBay. Also, around me, the stores that received this figure are out of stock. Have you secured your copy of the figure yet? It will be interesting to see if Walmart orders more.

27 minutes of footage from The Mandalorian was shown to the press on Saturday and first reactions are very positive. After the screening a press conference was held, highlights of which you can watch on YouTube.

On the panel are Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers. They talk about what their approach to the show was, in addition to that Dave Filoni talks about the differences between working on animation and live action. It is revealed that Favreau and Filoni worked on the plots together, brainstorming ideas, with Favreau then writing the script.

You also learn that while directors on TV usually don’t have all that much creative freedom, they approached each episode of the Mandalorian more like a movie, where a director has a lot more input. Overall, you get the feeling that the Mandalorian is in very good and capable hands. Jon Favreau speaks specifically about how they want to reward fans that have been with the franchise for a long time, since they were kids, and to bring everyone together, you can expect some Easter Eggs, references to both legends and canon, one of these things that will get referenced is actually Lifeday, as Favreau seems to have a weak spot for the Holiday Special. But watch for yourself! The video is about 21 minutes long, just click on the image below to start the video.

Starwars.com has confirmed via their various social media outlets that the final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker will drop on Monday night during Monday Night Football. 

Tickets for The Rise Of Skywalker go on sale Monday, and we don’t even have a trailer yet, although the rumor is that after Disney drops the final trailer for the film during the New England Patriots and New York Jets game starting at 8:15 PM ET! When you look at the overwhelming amount of unsold Hasbro Star Wars products arriving at discount chains like ROSS and Ollie’s, you have to wonder how bad things indeed are with the brand. JTA reader Michael D> send us images which are alarming because they show how much UNSOLD wave 1 The Vintage Collection figures (the worst wave of Star Wars figures of all time) and The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figure and vehicles (which people brag about waiting for clearance on) there are. I am flabbergasted that there were solid case packs of the TVC Sergeant Jyn Erso figure. That makes ZERO sense. And look at the overbearing volume of 6″ stuff arriving as well (photos by clicking through). No wonder we haven’t seen the Yak Face wave arrive at any retail location yet. Frightening.

Once again, The Vintage Collection Jabba’s Palace Adventure Playset is killing it in the best way possible for Walmart, and they’ve sold out of them online. At the moment, the brick and mortar level is THE ONLY way to secure this item. The good news? Walmart is doing everything possible to get in one more order for online purchases to help meet the product’s demand. Variety has an exclusive scoop about the Cassian Andor Disney+ series on their website. They have learned that Tony Gilroy was hired by Lucasfilm to write and direct the pilot episode of the yet untitled Cassian Andor series, Gilroy is also said to direct a few more episodes. Gilroy will not be the showrunner, this is still supposed to be Stephen Schiff (he was previously the co-producer for The Americans). You may certainly remember Gilroy as the person who was hired to salvage Rogue One to great results. His work on Rogue One was so substantial that he received a writing credi. Gilroy is not a Star Wars fan, but that may not be a bad thing at all, he certainly knew how to fix the very messy state Rogue One was reportedly in. No release date for the Cassian Andor series is known, but it’s supposed to be some time in 2021.

The next two cards from the weekly Topps Star Wars Living Set are now out. Featuring the iconic blue starfield and the impressive artwork of Kris Penix, check out Sebulba (#39) and Kanan Jarrus (#40). Each Tuesday, two new cards will be released and be only available for one week.

We’ve come across information about the Disney Droid Factory Build A Droid attraction. Apparently, protocol droids may have not gone over as well as the astromech droids, and at the moment, there are no plans to add more protocol droids into the line. In fact, the Droid Factory protocol droids will be going away soon. The estimate is that the theme parks have a couple of months yet before the stock sells through. Rumored but not wholly confirmed is the idea that Disney Parks will return the popular astromech droids with a whole new collection shortly. It also unconfirmed if future collections will fall under the Droid Depot banner moving forward, but I imagine that’s a given at this point. If we learn more, we’ll be sure to share it with you. Where the heck is the pre-order for The Vintage Collection Cave Of Evil Special Action Figure Set? Patrick Schneider from Hasbro promised us that all of the items revealed at NYCC would be available for pre-order the following Monday. From where I stand, it seems this is the only one outstanding. And of course, it’s the one I want the most. Maybe Hasbro is getting lambasted for trying to re-release that monstrosity-of-a-disaster-wrapped-in-a-debacle, the Luke Skywalker figure, again. But I am not sure about that.

I totally missed this while shooting my initial Photo Gallery for the TVC Princess Leia Organa (Yavin) figure, but I just discovered that the portrait is all-new. The hairpiece is the same, but the portrait underneath is all-new. Hasbro also hgave her all-new forearms. (The swivel joint is now gone.) It’s difficult to tell with the Photo Real deco, but this is indeed true. Less obvious are some tooling differences in the chest and the hem of her long gown. (The drape is ever so slightly different too.) It’s awesome that Hasbro is adding new tooling to so many figures that they could have simply repacked them as is.

It’s beautiful! We’re continuing to look at the new The Vintage Collection figures! Next up is the Shadow Trooper! It utilizes a fantastic figure sculpt, and comes with unique accessories! Princess Leia Organa (Yavin) NOW ADDED! We’re being proactive and calling her VC150, but if this change never occurs, we’ll be sure to renumber her as VC164. Interestingly, the Sith Trooper is an all-new figure. I thought for sure he used parts from the SIth Jet Trooper, but not a single part is reused. For me, the Jawa is bittersweet. I desperately wanted a Jawa on a Star Wars card, and Hasbro delivered. But I would be lying if I said I am content with the straight repack of The Black Series [Phase II] figure. A Jawa deserves all-new tooling and premium soft-goods. At the moment, the Shadow Trooper is my favorite of the bunch so far. It’s a fantastic sculpt, and the extra gear is appreciated and welcomed. Anyway, be sure to check them all out!

The Star Wars novel “Force Collector” will be released as part of the “Journey To Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” on November 19th, but some details of the upcoming novel have already leaked on Reddit. The novel revolves around the grandson of a former Jedi who has a mysterious power, when he touches certain objects he receives visions and flashbacks. But that shall not concern us here.
The tidbit that may be of interest to fans of Han Solo is this: in the novel the protagonist meets Maz at her cantina/castle and while there he touches one of the Yavin medals. And it turns out that none other than Han Solo gave Luke’s Yavin medeal to Maz to pay for a drink! Maz then calls Han a “bastard”.
Now, whoever controls canon at Lucasfilm, whoever has the right to veto certain things in the novels, maybe should have thought really hard about that tidbit and if that is something that a post “A New Hope” Han Solo would actually do. But since all the novels are canon, Han Solo is now someone who sold Luke’s Yavin medal for booze, on top of being a loser dad and estranged husband, who reverted to being a scoundrel and swindling his way through life some time after Return of the Jedi, only to get killed by his son who didn’t like being sent to Jedi boarding school, where his uncle tried to murder him in his sleep.

BANG Showbiz posted a short inteview clip with Rian Johnson on their Twitter page. In the interview he says he’s excited to be a Star Wars fan again and he’s looking forward to seeing the new movie in December. But then BANG Showbiz asks the big question, what about Rian Johnson’s own new trilogy? This is what he has to say about that:

“Well we’ll see, I mean I’m still talking to Lucasfilm, they’re figuring out what they’re doing, and we’ll see what happens, but you know I’d be thrilled if it happens but I’m doing my own stuff too.”

This doesn’t sound too confident. It seems plans at Lucasfilm are still shifting. We also don’t know how exactly Kevin Feige’s Star Wars project will fit in. Would Lucasfilm have three different Star Wars movie projects at the same time? Benioff & Weiss, Rian Johnson and whatever Kevin Feige is developing? But as usual things can change. It’s certainly interesting to learn that “Lucasfilm is figuring out what they’re doing”. Let’s hope they’ll figure it out very soon. We still know very little about what kind of movie we’ll get in 2022 and what will happen beyond.

I like you all, but there was quite a bit of belly-aching in today’s review of the TVC Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter review. This fantastic vehicle, now available to pre-order at Entertainment Earth, is a stunning release, the best version of the vehicle to date. And it’s worth every penny of the $99.99 MSRP. Trust me on this. The Death Star Trench Run from 2011, and the X-Wing Fighter from 2013 got referenced quite a bit. Well, have you seen their current prices on eBay?
