Watch The Q&A With The Cast Of The Rise Of Skywalker

A few hours ago the official Star Wars YouTube Channel livestreamed a Q&A session with most of the principal actors and director JJ Abrams, as usual Adam Driver was not present. And then the interviewer asked the ultimate question: “What was your reaction to the end of the movie?” If you want to avoid potential spoilers you should probably stay away from this article. The Rise of Skywalker Q&A Livestream

First, here you can watch the full recording of the livestream, it’s 23 minutes long:

But of special interest may be the very last question. “What was your reaction to the end of the movie?” The question is asked at the 21:22 minute mark, if you want to fast forward.

And this is how the cast reacted:

Anthony Daniels seems to be genuinely confused. John Boyega chooses not to react at all, Oscar Isaac looks off into the distance, Kelly Marie Tran seems to have seen something she’d rather unsee, Keri Russell has good fun, but then she goes on to make a weeping gesture with her fingers, Naomie Ackie doesn’t seem to know what to think at all and Daisy Ridley clearly took a lesson from the Emilia Clarke school of “best season evaaaar” Game of Thrones season 8 reaction.

Now, of course they may all be just joking and teasing the audience. But then Anthony Daniels does say something after all, even if the cast was asked not to say anything: “After 40 years, this is it????”. Looking really confused. JJ quips “What was he (referring to himself) thinking?”.

What do you make of the cast reaction? Are they just having fun? Are they really showing a genuine reaction? Or is it all just a good joke? If you’re a hobby psychologist or FBI body language expert, please leave your expertise below in the comments!
