UPDATE: Force Link 2 Wristband Error: Firmware Update Required!?
I’m not sure what’s going on, but I have encountered an error with my Force Link 2 wristband while I try to interact it with the many Solo: A Star Wars Story Force Link 2 figures and vehicles from Hasbro. When attempting to make many of the figures talk with the Force Link 2 wristband, I experience a “Firmware Update Required” error. None of the lines from the figures activate. Just a computerized voice spouting over and over again “Firmware Update Required” is all that is heard. I hope this is an isolated error for my wristband, but the pack-in Han Solo figure with it works fine. Everything else “NEW” I have generates that same error. Interestingly, my Star Wars [The Last Jedi] single-carded Emperor Palpatine spouts his lines with the Force Link 2 wristband. I haven’t tried any others.

UPDATE: Mystery solved. An app is required to activate the new sound effects. (It’s still strange that some figures work while most do not.)
