French Collecting Site Claims Hasbro Will Cease Producing All SA Figures

French site Star Wars Black Serie France is claiming baseless rumors abound that Hasbro is seeking to stop the production of 6″ and 3.75″ super-articulated figures. The problem? They have no sources cited and just a list of reasons why it would make sense if this happened (something that is already discussed on multiple Star Wars fan sites daily) like unsatisfactory sales, and no movement of the products at retail. Years before the Disney takeover, rumors like this existed, but they have been quelled for years. Besides, why would Hasbro bring back The Vintage Collection only to cancel it a few months after its re-launch. Anyway, check out the rough translation, and let us know in our comments how Hasbro could ensure success of both super-articulated scales at retail.

The end of the Black Series would approach?

A rumor that could piss off more than one collector.

Indeed, an article published on the web as soon withdrawing in the evening indicated that the company Hasbro would be in the process of deciding to stop the production of series 6 and 3.75 to return to the less expensive basic productions.

The reason (s) for this decision?

The cost of production is increasing more and more, especially with the new face finishing system that has seen the bill inflated at the manufacturer.

The many productions that have not been sold in recent years, especially after the release of episode VII.

Sales prices are constantly increasing from year to year, especially in France where we went from € 19 to € 29 / € 35 in stores.

The lack of availability of products on the shelf also plays a major role and the wait is less present.

According to the same rumor, the Black Séries would end after this summer, after the release of Solo the next Spin Off, which is why no information would be available about the products of the film, because it even in stand by Hasbro.

The future of the Black Series is in the hands of Hasbro and we will know more at future shows that will begin in 15 days.
