I have been debating whether or not to share my interpretation of one part of my encounter with the Hasbro reps from Toy Fair. (more….)
The news from Toy Fair was flying down the page pretty quickly with all of the headlines and images coming out this weekend. Make sure to stop by our Toy Fair 2018 Portal Page where you can find all of our news and galleries gathered up in one place. A big thanks to all of our readers who hung out with us all weekend during the fun!
Here is our Hasbro Q&A session! We had the joy of rapid-firing questions to Hasbro along with our friends at Jedi News and Bantha Skull. You’ll hear various people ask questions. One of the first questions I asked should allay your fears about the future of The Vintage Collection, so be sure to give it a listen. Click through for more!
We stumbled upon some some nice power banks by a company called Tribe while walking through Javits. They have a nice line-up of Star Wars featured at their booth. Click through to check them out.
Gentle Giant was showcasing the return of Bust-Ups this year, as well as some other new nostalgic replicas including some mini lunch boxes and Vintage-style packaging for their Enamel Pin line. Click here to have a look!
Anovos made their first visit to Toy Fair this year, showing off some of their latest replicas. They didn’t have a lot on hand, but they were impressive as usual. Click here to have a look at what they had on display.
After the presentation we did the usual tour of the Hasbro Showroom. Click through to check out what they had on display.
It’s that time again and we are on site at the Hasbro event! We’ve set up a LIVE BLOG for full real-time coverage. You can Join us right here for our live blog of Hasbro Star Wars news as it happens. Feel free to comment and chat amongst yourselves while Paul and I transcribe all of the details coming out of the presentation. The presentation is due to start at approximately 1:30PM EDT.

We just finished up at the annual LEGO Toy Fair Preview Party. Click below to visit our full gallery over on our Facebook page.
Images from Hasbro’s Toy Fair display have begun to hit Twitter. Star Wars 360 has posted an images of the Porgs 2-pack in TBS6 [P3] packaging.
What are you looking forward to seeing revealed from Funko, LEGO, Sideshow Collectibles, Gentle Giant Ltd., Kotobukiya and Tamashii Nations? If there are any other licensees you’re curious about, let us know in the comments and we will be sure to see if they’re at the show. Let us know in the comments!
JTA is heading into the city today to begin our Toy Fair 2018 coverage! We will kick things off early tomorrow morning with LEGO, then continue on to Javits Center and finally the big Hasbro event, where we will do a live blog right here at JTA throughout the presentation (where hopefully they will reveal some great TVC news). Stay tuned as we post updates. We’ll post our galleries in real time to Facebook and post links on our front page as we get the chance. We’ll do followup coverage throught the weekend. We will aggregate everything on our portal page for a ‘one stop shop’ of all of our coverage.
A cursory look at eBay auctions for the original run of The Vintage Collection figures AS WELL AS The Black Series 3.75″ figures show that there is incredible demand for past figures. In this post, let Hasbro know what figures you want to see re-released in the return of The Vintage Collection this Spring. See the madness HERE for TVC and HERE for TBS.
The Prequel Trilogy, the old Expanded Universe (Legends), The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels are painfully ignored and excluded from Hasbro’s roster of figures each year. With the return of The Vintage Collection this year, we want to know what figures you want to see the most. Please pick your top five and add them in our comments. (Look busy. Hasbro is watching….)
We’re continuing to keep the conversation going while recapping major points for The Vintage Collection right before Toy Fair! (We’re now going to revisit THIS POST to refresh our memories about a very important detail for TVC’s return!) If you listened to the SDCC Hasbro Q&A (which was a team effort between JTA and Victoria’s Cantina – check it out HERE), you remember Hasbro saying something that was as loud as clashing cymbals. It was also very heartwarming to fans of The Vintage Collection. When asked about working aliens/patrons from A New Hope (Chalmun’s Cantina) and Return Of The Jedi (Jabba’s Palace/skiff guards) into the planning of TVC they said “Absolutely, that’s kind of one of the main reasons we brought [The Vintage Collection] back. It is.” So, let us know what Cantina and Jabba’s Palace/Skiff Guards you want in this year’s model of The Vintage Collection!
As we lead up to Toy Fair, we’re going to recap discussions we had in the past. We will attempt to re-engage our readers with a unique topic each day. For today’s topic, let us know what you’re anticipating the most from Hasbro at Toy Fair this year. Are you dying for a vast The Vintage Collection lineup reveal? Are you waiting for Hasbro to announce that older The Black Series 6″ figures will be repackaged and updated with “photorealistic” technology? Or are you just hoping that you will be able to find figures at your local retail chains again, like in the past like when Hasbro held us like they did on Naboo? Let us know if your comments. And remember, please. 3.75″ and 6″ collectors should not engage in war like it’s the North and the South. Keep it friendly!
