More The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figures have arrived at Five Below locations across the country. New figures include C-3PO (Resistance Base) and Scarif Stormtrooper Squad Leader. We have “heard” that more of these case assortments will be arriving this week, so be sure to check out your local store. On a related note, we just joked about Star Wars [The Last Jedi] unsold product landing at Five Below in about two years. But they’ve arrived now. You can get $29.99 vehicles for $5 if you’re so inclined.
Welcome to our JTA Presents: Evolutions feature! Let’s check out how close or far we are from having a definitive Hasbro 3.75″ Han Solo (Bespin Outfit) action figure. Have we arrived at definitive status yet? Weigh in and let us know what conclusion you’ll come to by clicking through and adding your two cents in the comments!.
You have to wonder if The Last Jedi was such a “masterpiece” as some claim it is why the merchandising of it is in the toilet. (That’s not a dig at the film. I didn’t hate it as YouTube does.) While I think both extreme unbridled praise as well as volatile criticism of the film are a tad ridiculous, I can’t deny how poorly the merchandising performed (and in all honesty, this is where the real money comes into play). How many of us actually found the final wave of 3.75″ The Black Series [Phase III] exclusives? I have seen more reports of no one finding them than finding them. And if we did see retailer exclusives, how many of them clogged up shelf space until discounted and eventually removed? JTA reader Scot G. found some key “The Last Jedi” exclusives at his local Tuesday Morning store along with other unsellable stuff. Hopefully, the next film will be a marketing juggernaut.
Holy cow! What is with all of the activity at Amazon today? Who knows how long this will last? Now, the Force Link Emperor Palpatine single-carded figure is available for less than $10. This FIGURE has gone for over $100 on eBay recently. Special thanks to JTA reader Craig F. for the alert!
Entertainment Earth exclusives from the past are listed at pretty good prices at Amazon. Get C’ai Threnalli, the Captain Phasma/Finn (First Order Disguise) Two-Packs set and the First Order Flametrooper for good deals! Special thanks to friend Rivesjunctionite for the alert!
Hey! If anyone’s interested, it looks like you can get pack-in figures for a reduced cost at my local TARGET right outside of Philadelphia. Just buy any Hasbro vehicle, take out the figure and nd then return it as if nothing is different. It appears to be going over quite well here. Good luck to all!
To my shock and surprise, I found my very first two Wampa/Luke Skywalker sets at my local Walmart in Northeast Philly. I have heard of others seeing older products arrive in their local stores too. It appears as if more stock is making its way to Walmart. Now, where are those Mimban Stormtroopers?
We’re switching gears to check out the Electronic Elite Praetorian Guard 12-Inch Figure. It didn’t sell well at all. Find out why in our Research Droids Reviews today! Be sure to leave your thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even comment about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! As always, you can also send your review requests via email if you’d like to see something that we didn’t cover yet.
Entertainment Earth’s Deal Of The Day is the Star Wars [The Last Jedi] Two-Packs case assortment for $50, down from $129.99.
UPDATE: Wow. SOLD OUT already.
For those of you interested, the Kohl’s exclusive Force Link 4-pack that retailed for $49.99 is now only $19.99, the price it should have been at launch. Special thanks to friend Rum Sleg for the alert!
JTA moderator Sjefke is thrilled to find a $5 Rathtar set at his local Walmart on clearance, but this speaks volume. It speaks volumes how poorly case assortments are treated. How this item was repackaged for Force Link 2.0 is beyond comprehension. A simple visit to any retail establishment would have proven that it was the last set to repackage. Here we are in June 2018, and both Force Link 1.0 and Force Link 2.0 sets are piling up. They might as well start giving these away like Oprah gave away cars on that landmark episode of her show.
JTA reader Ken alerts us to a confirmed listing of the Toys R Us exclusive Force Link 2.0 5-Pack (on their Canadian website). As you know, this item showed up in Japan recently. And now for North America remains in limbo with the death of Toys R Us.
Here is a better look at the Walmart exclusive Force Link 2.0 A-wing Fighter. You can order it at Robot Kingdom right now because it’s IN STOCK!
Retailer ActionFiguren24 has put up for order what they’re calling a Walmart exclusive Force Link A-wing Fighter and Pilot. Click through for the translation on their site. Special thanks to JTA reader Sven from Berlin for the alert!
The Wampa/LukeSkywalker (Hoth) set is ALSO in stock at Hasbro Toy Shop. You know you want it! Special thanks to Mark for the alert!
Sainsbury’s (a supermarket chain in the UK) have Star Wars [The Last Jedi] 3.75″ figures for sale. What’s interesting at this particular location, however, is that the male characters are on the shelf with a full £11 price tag. But the female characters are ‘reduced to clear’ at £7.33! Someone needs to do something about this. The female characters of Star Wars deserve the same higher MSRP as their male counterparts. Special thanks to JTA reader Shoretrooper for this disconcerting turn of events.
And speaking of BB-8, if you missed our Facebook alert hours ago, the BB-8 2 In 1 Mega Playset is only $49.99 on Amazon. I particularly find this a shame. This playset was actually a lot of fun. It’s totally worth $50. Grab it!
Unbelievable! Reports are pouring in from toy runners that the BB-8 Mega Playset has been marked down as low as $30 at some Walmart stores. We are getting plenty of reports that it is also found for $45. Special thansk to JTA readers Allen P. and vikingrobot and others for the reports and images. This item is still over $100 on Walmart.com. What ashame. This is a fantastic playset. It should have performed better. Perhaps get rid of the droid-shaped gimmick next time.
The Entertainment Earth exclusive (that will be available to anyone who has an Entertainment Earth account) Finn (First Order Disguise)/Captain Phasma Two-Packs set is NOW SHIPPING! If you pre-ordered it, look for a shipping notice in your inbox! If you haven’t, order yours HERE.
It’s officially Solo: A Star Wars Story product launch day! We have a couple of rough review pages for you to check out. Click the banner below to check out what we’ve added thus far. More will be added soon!
But be sure to check out our new gallery on the Star Wars [The Last Jedi] Wampa/Luke Skywalker (Hoth) set by click the banner below. My goodness what a great set it is.
We have completely reviewed The Vintage Collection wave 17 and The Black Series [Phase III] wave 16. (We also reviewed the awesome Dewback/Sandtrooper set as well.) Be sure to check back at midnight as we begin to add the Solo: A Star Wars Story products to our database.
This image is entirely disconcerting. If I didn’t know the person who sent me the picture of this store report, I would have assumed this was Photoshopped. The idiot who stole all of these figures should start paying attention to sites like this one because he would have learned that the character he took will be available in droves when it gets repacked as a Force Link 2.0 figure. (Whoops!) This thief is scum, but it would be helpful if Hasbro could release essential details like this as soon as possible to deter this behavior (perhaps).
HUNDREDS of toys are 50% OFF at TARGET.com and many of them are Hasbro Star Wars items. Great deals include Luke SKywalker (Ahch-To Island) and Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer. Many ore details can be found as well. FREE 2-DAY SHIPPING is also included for MOST items. Special thanks to JTA reader Jon M. for the alert!
We all remember the great TARGET exclusive Force Link three-pack that included Emperor Palpatine, Luke Skywalker and an Emperor’s Royal Guard. (See our review of it HERE if you’re not familiar with it.) We also recall Hasbro released Emperor Palpatine as a single-carded basic figure. But many collectors wondered if the other two figures from that three-pack would also be released singly as well. It would make sense that Hasbro would have both Luke Skywalker and Emperor’s Royal Guard on their radar for releases as single basic figures too, wouldn’t it?
Last night we received a special delivery from Litzky PR and Hasbro: the Battle On Crait multipack and a free digital download of The Last Jedi. We thank them for this package. Click the image below to see it. You can read our review of it HERE.
Holy Toledo! Check out the AMAZING pricing on a ton of Star Wars [The Last Jedi] Force Link products on Amazon.com!! The BB-8 2-In-1 Mega Playset is less than $70. Many Two-Packs and Deluxe sets are HALF OFF! Vehicles are going for a song and dance! Check out all of this sale GOODNESS!
You may want to check Hasbro Toy Shop’s eBay store. There are some great deals to be had!
It’s almost hard to believe, but JTA reader and friend Robert F. has received a shipping notice for the Hasbro Star Wars [The Last Jedi] “Battle Of Crait” 4-pack, ordered from Entertainment Earth, despite its March 2018 release date. The new figures presented here will only be available in this set! Pre-order your set HERE at Entertainment Earth!
Wow! A store report of the Star Wars [The Last Jedi] Emperor Palpatine basic figure has been made in Rebelscum’s forums. There are also other NJ Walmart sightings of this figure too. This confirms our rumor report that this figure would likely make its way out to retail in some capacity. Interesting, huh? Special thanks to JTA reader Rich K. for the news and alert! You can see Emperor Palpatine and the rest of his wave in our exclusive look in our RDRs right now!. If C’ai Threnalli and First Order Flametrooper start showing up I think Entertainment Earth has some reason to be upset!
We are adding the basic figure version of Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars [The Last Jedi] line to our Visual Guides, rounding out wave 3. Click the image below for the full Visual Guide, and click here to have a look at our full review.
