Just over a year after its pre-order date (September 24, 2021), the Target exclusive The Black Series Droids Boba Fett is finally shipping. Shipping notices have started going out this week. There have also been reports showing up on social media of this showing up in stores. So, if you missed the pre-order it’s time to start checking brick and mortar!

Target is sending out updated shipping notices for the Droids R2-D2 and Boba Fett figures. They are now due to ship on May 26th. They also updated the product pages with May 26th as the release date. I don’t know if I’m more excited to finally receive these figures or to have that Target hold on my Credit Card for the past 8 months finally gone. 

You can still pre-order these from the site if you have not yet found them at brick and mortar stores. Click below for the pre-order pages.

Update: Boba Fett is now going in and out of stock for pre-orders

Meh. The Vintage Collection Droids Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2) figure is nothing special either. Hasbro didn’t even include the “pop-up” lightsaber accessory. (more….)

Target’s Droids exclusive See-Threepio (C-3PO) is shipping (and arriving) for those that managed to get a pre-order in. Mine arrived with minimal damage, even though they still managed to cram them into an undersized box. Let us know how yours arrived in the comments! Still no updates on exactly when the others will begin to ship.

Oh man, Hasbro opened a can of worms with the newly revealed DROIDS Boba Fett, See-Threepio (C-3PO), and Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2) for The Vintage Collection. Not only have we pleaded for Hasbro to produce these for us in a 3.75-inch scale for years now, but we’ve also been working behind the scenes suggesting TVC product concepts with major retailers.
