JTA reader and friend Michael O. alerts us to another Five Below find. I haven’t heard these particular figures hitting this retail collection, but I may have just forgotten. Regardless, this was the first time Michael has ever seen this figures at retail! Sad!
I felt like this one deserved its own post. The huge AT-ACT Walker is on clearance at Target for only $101! That’s right, $101 right now! I can live with that price (not to mention free shipping).
As we all know, we’re getting closer to Force Friday which not only means new products to chase and drive ourselves crazy over, but it also means we can save some money on the things we held out on! Target.com has put a TON of products on clearance including these exclusives. The Star Wars Saga 7-Pack is on sale for $19.98, The Kylo Ren VS Rey 18″ 2-pack is $22.48, and the TFA BB-8, Threepio, and R0-4LO is only $14.48! There’s also a ton of other goodies on there as well.
It’s just so sad to see this sometimes. But if you’re looking for cheap Star Wars figures you can head to Five Below where they have Rogue One Two-Packs for about the price of a single figure. No more 5POA Hasbro. Now let’s get those TVC figures out there! Special thanks to JTA reader Michael O. for the news!
Friend and JTA reader Han Solo Mio forwards us images taken at a local North California Kmart where new The Last Jedi products were placed on store shelves and rang up for $29.99 (vehicles) and $42.99 (role-play).
The madness continues. As more and more online sellers breach their agreements with Hasbro with early sales of The Last Jedi basic figures, the bidding wars and starting bids are entertaining at best. Check out this auction on eBay.
I am speechless. I have no words at all. Who spends $510 on FOUR (4) 5POA figures? Whoever bought this: spend this kind of money in a therapist’s office please. Click to see this final auction yourself on eBay.
JTA Canadian reader Jamie D. sends us a remarkable store report. Do you remember the Amazon exclusive First Order Legion boxed set with seven figures? They have now shown up at Toys R Us in Canada for only $29.99 (original MSRP on Amazon was $47.99). As you know, these nearly go for $100 on Amazon today, so this is quite a surprising store find. Let us know if you see these in your local stores. I wonder why Amazon didn’t sell through their stock because once they sold out they never replenished and collectors wanted these. And I also wonder if American collectors will see this at their TRU stores. Weird. On a related note, I wonder if this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to unsold TFA toys….
Toysrus.com is having a 3-day clearance event. Best part is you can get an EXTRA 20% off by using promo code CLEARANCE20. Take a peek at all the Star Wars items they have on clearance and maybe save a few bucks.
More The Last Jedi items have leaked, this time most of the basic figures. You’ll have to search Instagram to see them though.
Well, from the various Hasbro interactions at SDCC this year, it seems that you can kiss away any chance of getting Fenn Rau (for a while at least). Just look at this loose one and how much it sold for today on eBay. It’s absolute insanity!
Our friends at Yakface.com has dug around the web and have found information that reveals a playset for The Last Jedi line. Check out their report. If their site doesn’t load, just click refresh. It can’t handle more than one user at a time. 🙂 (Just kidding guys!)
We are honored to have teamed up with our good friend, the illustrious Victoria from Victoria’s Cantina, this year to conduct our Hasbro Q&A during San Diego Comic Con. We also entered the current century because the Q&A is in the form of a video. This time YOU get to see the wry smiles and illuminating expressions on the Hasbro Team’s faces. While we focused our efforts on learning as much as we could about The Vintage Collection, there is plenty of stuff here on The Black Series 6″ line and 5POA as well. Reissue older 6″ figures? Gray-haired Han Solo? Using 6″ to make SA 3.75″ and vice versa? Will there be more 40th anniversary love in TVC? Will there be 40th The Empire Strikes Back figures? What about the fate of playsets? You’ll get the answers to all of these questions and more, so be sure to check out what this beautiful bunch of people had to say by clicking the thumbnail below!
Do you remember this recent “rumor report” of ours? Between the super-articulated wampa and the 5POA action figures coming with swivel wrists and other extra moving parts, we applaud Hasbro for including articulation where it makes sense. Keep it up!
Well, it’s still in Rogue One packaging, but hopefully you catch our drift. Good news! It looks as if the Bistan/Shoretrooper Captain Two-Pack will be released in The Last Jedi/Rogue One line. If you look carefully at the bottom of the Instagram Rathtar image you will see the packaging for this elusive set! Hopefully this comes to pass!
Does there exist any relevance between Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi? Rumors abound that this may indeed be true and that we could see something related to this in the merchandising of the film. Stay tuned for more.
A couple things to discuss about Target today. In Targets, in what seems like all over the country, they are clearancing out a TON of Star Wars items. I know my Target in Milltown, NJ has begun putting almost everything on clearance except for a few notable items such as the TBS Rogue One 3-pack and the Rhino Tank Driver. We also received some images from readers on discounted items which you can view below. Which the good comes the bad. Check out the shipping horror story that Jason experienced after the jump
Update: More shipping damages! See below.
Hasbro – do you see this? Please assuage the collecting community’s panic by confirming that Fenn Rau is coming in The Last Jedi basic figure assortment on Force Friday. We will burn our manssierres until we get him! #wheresfennrau
Amazon is NOW MATCHING the Best Buy price for the Jedha Revolt four-pack. Special thanks to JTA reader and friend Steve U. for sharing the news!
Toys R Us is having a 4th of July sale which can save you a few bucks on some cool Star Wars items. Even though the TRU website is looking a bit barren lately, there are still loads of things already on sale. Take a look at all of the Star Wars items that you can save on. They still have TBS6 Luke and Leia on sale. Don’t forget to use promo code JULY15OFF at checkout!
Now THIS is a price I can get behind! In fact, I have been passing this by since it’s release even thought I really, really wanted to add Saw to the collection. Best Buy has this set listed at $12.99. Thanks to Agustin for the news!
