TSC – Wave 2 – Battle of Hoth
#009 AT-AT Driver:

Wowy zowy! A much needed upgrade to a cool looking Imperial! I was highly anticipating buying this figure.

Here are my subjective and objective reviews for the figure:

Head Sculpt:
I love it! Excellent job. Only one harp on it. It seems a little squished down. Still there’s NO mistaking which Imperial this is. Good job Hasbro!
Rating 4 out of 5 Holocrons

Articulation:
He’s SO close to perfect. But for the swivel elbows he would be. He’s got ball jointed shoulders, knees and the head. Though the breathing tubes do limit the articulation a little. Swivel joints include: elbows, hips and waist. This figure almost knocked it out of the park with articulation. Thanks Hasbro!
Rating 4.5 out of 5 Holocrons

Paint Application:
The head and chest are taken into account here. THe helmet is wonderful. Nice attention to detail. While the chest apparatus can be sometimes sloppy, it shouldn't take long to find one that is perfect or near perfect in paint apps.
Rating 3.0 out of 5 Holocrons

Overall sculpt:
Fantastic job here. Wrinkles in the suit abound for the more realistic look. As mentioned the helmet is great, so too is the chest apparatus. Other than the head seemingly to me to be a little squished down, this would be a perfect job.
Rating 4 out of 5 Holocrons

Accessories:
Not much here as with others in this wave. All you get is a blaster and a figure stand. Okay I'm not going to fault them on this though as that’s all that’s needed for this character.
Rating 2 out of 5 Holocrons

Customization possibilities:
Hmm, Unless you really want to swap heads and tubes with the ARC-170 clone pilot, there’s not much to customize here. And why would you want too? It’s the best representation of this character that we're ever going to get at this scale.
Rating 2 out of 5 Holocrons

Playability:
A great figure to play with or display in your AT-AT. With so much articulation you've got a lot of options here.
Rating 4.5 out of 5 Holocrons

Overall Score:
Truly a gem in modern collecting! This figure has just about everything you could want from a figure. Great articulation, paint apps, sculpts. Only some minor tweaks would have put this figure in the perfect range. Still there’s really little to gripe about. If Hasbro decides to use this forever for reissues, I'd be fine with it. Thanks Hasbro for giving us a quality figure at the normal retail price!!-
Rating 4 out of 5 Holocrons
