TSC – Wave 4 – Battle of Coruscant
#022 Firespeeder Pilot:

A somewhat unexpected figure, it is a welcome addition to my collection.

Here are my subjective and objective reviews for the figure:

Head Sculpt:
A fantastic job on this Head sculpt. It looks just like the character. But for the lighter color material on the neck this would be perfect. But that’s such a small nitpick that it doesn't really bother me.
Rating 5 out of 5 Holocrons

Articulation:
Excellent. I would have preferred ball joint elbows, and ankles, but again for what this character is, the articulation it has is not only acceptable, it’s down right awesome. POA (Points of Articulation) are:

  • Ball Joints:

  •      Head, shoulders, knees
  • Swivel:

  •      Elbows, wrists, waist, hips Not much more can be expected, and of a background character!
Rating 4.5 out of 5 Holocrons

    Paint Application:
Not much paint here with exception to the head and backpack. Hasbro could have dirtied up the outfit more, but no real reason to. For what it has for paint, it fits nicely.
Rating 4 out of 5 Holocrons

    Overall sculpt:
This has to be one of the best sculpts coming fro ROTS characters. My only real complaint is the back of the knee. Due to the joint, Hasbro decided to make the back of the knee a bit more cut-out than usual. Still, if that’s all I have to nitpick at, well then you can say this is a great sculpt.

    Accessories:
Not too much for accessories. He comes with the "Flame suppression" back pack and hose gun. Along with the standard flat stand. Nice touch with the backpack and hose, but if these weren't included, I don't think we'd have made a fuss. So nice addition there Hasbro.
Rating 4 out of 5 Holocrons

    Customization possibilities:
Okay, has ANYONE else noticed how, with exception to the head, these guys look like Ghostbusters? Man, swap out a head and there you go. Sure it’s not SW, but dang that’s a cool custom. This figure is generic enough that he can be painted a different color and placed in any number of crowd type dioramas. Head swaps will greatly increase the customs for this figure.
Rating 3.5 out of 5 Holocrons

    Playability:
With the great articulation, this figure has every opportunity to be played with for hours. Only one problem, it’s a no name nondescript character that was mostly seen in a 2 second role in the movie. It’s great for play, just not too recognizable.
Rating 3.5 out of 5 Holocrons

    Overall Score:
Hasbro went above and beyond with this one. One of the best sculpts to date. The articulation is great. A nice minor character to have been made. Not much else to ask for with this one, other than "where the heck is he?" As of this writing he’s been hard to find. Maybe that will change with future releases. In the meantime, if you're on the fence about this one, I'd highly suggest getting at least one.The card picture sports a nice view of Grievous’s flagship crash landing on Coruscant. This character is actually seen a little more than just that seen. He’s also seen as MANY of this character aboard a Republic Destroyer, during the scene when Obi is talking with Cody about going to Utapau. There are at least 10 that I've seen, so I'm going to slightly army build this figure for that purpose. I'm am greatly satisfied with how this figure came out. Hasbro will never have to remake this one again, other than a possible reissue, but nothing new is needed. It’s great to get such a good figure the first time around. Great Job Hasbro!
