One of the greatest things about having down time with Hasbro is catching up on older figures and finding them for fantastic prices. This about sums up JTA reader John B.'s experience. He got some great stuff for $30! Click through for more!

Here is something fun to look at that falls between stupid to very humorous. There is a flickr album that could easily be titled "Star Wars Karaoke", although the author of these antics also includes GI Joe and Lord Of The Rings figures too. Definitely worth checking out. TIP: Make sure you look at the song title at the bottom of the image post, otherwise, you won't have the melody in your head when you read the parodied lyrics!

Jedi Temple Archives is honored to have the amazingly active community in our comments that we do. This part of JTA has taken off beyond our expectations and to the point that current staff can barely keep up with it! As a result, we're in search of two eager staff members that can help us with specific things in our comments module, which hopefully will become a lead type of role. If this is something that interests you, please click through for more!

Tamashi has just released what appears to be a teaser image of a S.H. Figuarts Yoda silhouette! If this is true, it is believed that if they do a line for Star Wars figures of their renowned quality that there will be little to no reason to ever purchase a Hasbro figure again. Click through to see the teaser!
UPDATE: Rebelscum.com is reporting that this series of figures is NOT in development. See their report here. (Tamashi updated their post to explain that it was a picture of someone's avatar and not a teaser image.)

There is no other way to say this than "thank you" so THANK YOU! We shared with readers our own tribute to the 30th anniversary of Return Of The Jedi, and we asked you to share our tribute with others. Between the wonderful assistance of our colleagues, friends, and cherished readers, the image managed to reach over 17,000 Star Wars fans on Facebook. Thanks again for sharing in our joy of what we consider one of the greatest fims of all time!! We don't rely on Facebook all that much, so this was a huge surprise for us. If you missed the image we shared, then click through to see it.

Yeah, that alliteration was even too much for me! There is an auction on ShopGoodwill.com that has a carded TVC Gamorrean Guard figure along with a whole bunch of loose miscellaneous Star Wars stuff. The auction bids are still low. If you're interested, you have until May 30th to place a bid. Special thanks to JTA moderator Paul B. for the head's up.

It's hard to believe it has been 30 years since the close of the Original Trilogy! In 1983 we eagerly anticipated the release of the "final" Star Wars film. I recall vividly sitting there in the theater during the opening crawl hardly believing the moment had arrived, and that bittersweet feeling when it ended wondering if I would ever see another Star Wars film. Now, 30 years later, we eagerly anticipate the release of the film that will follow Return of the Jedi. Strange how things work out! click on the banner below to celebrate 30 years of Jedi, from the team at Jedi Temple Archives!

I just found out that my pal Chris Swanski at BanthaSkull.com has the same disdain for Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones as I do. But perhaps more importantly, what I also didn't realize is that he's written another clever wiki entry on the topic of something he's deemed the Sky Guy Paradox which attempts to explain the phenomena of how characters from Episode II look inexplicably 10 years older (and what I think it significantly more than that) than they should in Episode IV. Before you accidentally interpret this post as some sort of one-sided bromance, click through to learn about the Sky Guy Paradox. Brilliant! (And VERY entertaining!)

This story is about as grim as the pegs have been looking at retail lately. Just when you think you've heard it all, something like this comes along to once again destroy the faith you've thought you'd built up in other people. JTA longtime reader Darth Eddie has a true tale of terror to share with you. But brace yourself, because it will anger you and you know what Yoda says about anger.... click through for more please.

We'll probably be seeing a plethora of awesome things like this for May The Fourth Be With You, but we think this one already takes the cake! With special thanks to our friends at Yakface.com for advertising this, please, please, please check out this awesome animated version of the classic vintage Kenner card back! Be sure to look for little "artistic license" nuances like the TIE Fighter Pilot's, well, um, "tie" for example! There are others too!

The Force will be with the Toledo Mud Hens next weekend. The Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers recently revealed the jerseys that they'll be wearing for their series next weekend, and they truly look like they are from a universe far, far away. As you'll see above, the Mud Hens' uniforms are Chewbacca-themed, perhaps a first in professional sports. At first glance they look pretty ugly, but are they so hideous as to be beautiful? Decide for yourself. The themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off for local charities after the game, are just one part of the Mud Hens' Star Wars tribute. Click through for more information!

It is deep sadness that we announce the death of Richard LeParmentier, just one of the men who we saw Darth Vader choke in Star Wars. He was better known as Admiral Motti to fans.
