The Sinister Six Bounty Hunters Collective meeting was a blast. I met a fantastic group of guys last night and we're excited for the future of the group. Once again if you're in the Bucks County/Northeast Philly area, please come out. I will be announcing future meetings on our front page, but you can also follow this group on Facebook HERE! I brought JTA's Celebration Exclusive Series 1 trading card set and the Vintage Kenner poster as giveaways for this get together. As always, bmales01: you're not invited.

It has been one year today since I lost my friend Mark Grimshaw to cancer. Although a friend, he also was an avid Star Wars collector as well as a fixture here at Jedi Temple Archives (as studlydudly) in the comments. He also spent a significant amount of time at our colleagues' sites and He thoroughly enjoyed the hobby. Mark's caregiver John T. reached out to me to see if I would share what he had made with some of Mark's remaining t-shirts that he found. He had them made into two quilts and then gifted them to Mark's parents. You can look at them by clicking the thumbnails below.

Amazon Quietly Eliminating List Pricing

Posted by Paul | July 04, 2016 at 01:25 PM ET |

Say goodbye to the old-fashioned MSRP folks! We've already begun seeing signs of this. The New York Times has just released an article exposing Amazon and the new direction they're taking with pricing merchandise. Simply put "There is just one price. Take it or leave it." The article goes on to explain that they're quietly eliminating "list" pricing and that you can expect top pay for whatever the average market is willing to pay for an item. It's nice to see how much power the "impatient and need to be instantly gratified" have on the rest of us. Or perhaps this is just the definition of corporate greed. Whatever. Check it out and decide for yourself. Special thanks to Ayem Mayem for the link.

Orlando Victim Inspires 'Star Wars' Petition

Posted by Paul | June 30, 2016 at 09:36 AM ET |

"We both loved Star Wars, it was really just a part of our lives. We'd watch reviews and talk about it. We would listen to the sound track in the car." Their love for Star Wars movies was a bond that kept them inseparable for six years, even after Yehl moved from Orlando to Los Angeles. And it was a bond that suddenly ended when Leinonen was killed alongside 48 others in the Pulse Nightclub massacre in Orlando. (more....)

John Williams Receives AFI Life Achievement Award

Posted by Mike_Taber | June 10, 2016 at 06:52 PM ET |

On Thursday night, John Williams received the Life Achievement from the American Film Institute. Williams in the first composer to be honored with the award. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Harrison Ford, and JJ Abrams were among those who paid tribute to the legendary composer during a presentation at the Dolby Theater. Perhaps the most memorable quote of the night came from Harrison Ford. Ford walked onto the stage as the main theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark played in the background and commented, "That damn music follows me everywhere." The brilliance, ubiquity, and impact of John Williams' work cannot be denied. Star Wars. Indiana Jones. Jaws. E.T. Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Jurassic Park. Superman. Schindler's List. Even Harry Potter. The work of John Williams will live on forever. Congratulations, Mr. Williams. You've earned it.

With a headline destined to shadow the "white slavers" one, the Daily Mail posts another outlandish rumor that George Lucas' name is amongst Hollywood's finest in madam Heidi Fleiss' infamous "black book". The Daily Mail has more.

UPDATE: Please just laugh a little more folks. Sometimes headlines are SO RIDICULOUS that they're worth sharing for the humor. That's all this was....
